About The Function

The GCC team at MakeMyTrip manages the international charter of driving growth across the GCC region. The team’s core objective is to establish MakeMyTrip (MMT) as the leading Online Travel Aggregator (OTA) by enabling strong top-line growth while maintaining bottom-line efficiency. Key focus areas include building the best selection across flights and hotels, offering competitive pricing, launching innovative features, delivering a delightful customer experience, and strengthening customer affinity and loyalty across the region

Within this business, the Performance Marketing team plays a critical role in accelerating growth through data-led acquisition and retention strategies. The team optimizes spends across search, social, programmatic, and affiliate channels - driving measurable impact on traffic, conversions, and ROI.

About The Role

As a Deputy Manager- Performance Marketing, the incumbent will manage and optimize airline meta-search platforms such as Skyscanner, Google Flights, and Wego, ensuring accurate, competitive, and high-visibility listings for MakeMyTrip’s flight inventory. The role involves ongoing performance monitoring, bid optimization, and data-driven decision-making to maximize ROI and drive quality traffic.

The incumbent will work closely with Product, Analytics, and Creative teams to refine data feeds, enhance conversion funnels, and strengthen MakeMyTrip’s presence across markets. This role calls for a blend of analytical rigor, strategic problem-solving, and deep expertise in travel meta ecosystems, with a strong focus on execution excellence and measurable business impact.

What Will You Be Doing

  • Meta Channel Management
  • Manage and optimize airline meta search platforms (Skyscanner, Wego, Google Flights) to ensure accurate and competitive listings.
  • Coordinate with Supply, Revenue, and Tech teams to improve rankings, data feeds, and algorithm performance.
  • Performance Optimization
  • Monitor and analyse traffic, sales, and ROI to drive performance and achieve business goals.
  • Use data insights and user feedback to identify opportunities and implement improvements.
  • User Experience Enhancement
  • Collaborate with Product and Design teams to enhance user experience and streamline the booking journey.
  • Market Insights
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor strategies to uncover new growth opportunities.

Qualification & Experience

  • A postgraduate from a reputed institute with 2–4 years of hands-on experience in a similar role, preferably within the travel, aviation, or e-commerce industry.
  • Experience in revenue management and performance optimization.
  • Strong understanding of airline operations, pricing models, and distribution channels.
  • Familiarity with meta search engine optimization and performance marketing techniques.
  • Proficiency in data management tools, analytics platforms, and MS Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Solid understanding of fare construction and GDS distribution systems.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics (Omniture).

Key Success Factors For The Role

  • Data & Reporting: Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and present actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reporting) and PowerPoint (executive presentations).
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate SEO strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
