Marketing AI agent manager
Indexed description
Why we need this role
Marketing is undergoing a fundamental shift - from campaign execution to AI-driven, always-on, personalised engagement powered by autonomous agents.
Within the CMO function, multiple AI agents will increasingly support (and in some cases lead):
- Campaign creation and optimisation
- Content generation and localisation
- Customer insight and segmentation
- Sales enablement and pipeline acceleration
- Executive and internal communications
Without a Dedicated Role
- Marketing agents risk being fragmented across teams with inconsistent quality and governance
- Value will be limited to task automation rather than end-to-end marketing transformation
- There is increased risk around brand consistency, compliance, and customer trust
- Costs and ROI of AI-driven marketing will remain opaque and unmanaged
What You Will Do
Own the Marketing AI Agent Ecosystem
Define, govern, and scale a portfolio of AI agents across campaign, content, and insight use cases.
Redesign Marketing Around AI
Transform end-to-end marketing workflows into agent-driven, always-on engagement models that improve speed, personalisation, and ROI.
Orchestrate Agents Across the Funnel (AgentOps)
Ensure seamless collaboration between agents and integration with CRM, marketing platforms, and data systems.
Ensure Brand, Data & Content Control
Govern how agents use data and generate content to maintain brand consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
Drive Performance, ROI & Cost Efficiency
Monitor agent output and impact, optimise performance, and manage AI costs against commercial outcomes.
Embed Governance, Security & Compliance
Apply AI policies, controls, and risk management to ensure responsible, secure use of agents in marketing.
Design Human–Agent Collaboration
Define autonomy levels, approval workflows, and escalation paths to balance efficiency with oversight.
Enable Adoption & Continuous Optimisation
Drive a test-and-learn culture, scale best practices, and continuously improve agent performance.
