Hays have partnered with a leading owner operator who is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee a prominent retail asset located in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing, enhancing, and implementing the business plan to maximize the performance of the property. As a key asset in the portfolio, the General Manager will be responsible for leading a team to deliver first-class operational service, managing the tenant experience for large name retail brands, and financial reporting.

Your new role

- Oversight of tenant fit-outs and capital projects, working alongside the onsite project manager.

- Management of tenant relations with the support of a dedicated AGM and tenant services team.

- Work with the in-house leasing team to identify and secure new tenants.

- Collaborate with senior leadership to assess and enhance the property's operating and financial performance.

- Ensure the building meets all legal, safety, and health requirements.

- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and local businesses.

What you'll need to succeed

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field.

- 10+ years of experience in retail property management.

- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead a team and work collaboratively.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience in reviewing and implementing business plans.

- Knowledge of tenant fit-outs and capital projects.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
