Marketing Manager

Job Title: Manager / Senior Manager - Marketing (WTP/STP/ETP)

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Experience

• 15+ years of relevant experience in Marketing within the Water Treatment Plant (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), and Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) industry.
• Proven track record in business development, government liaison, and project acquisition in the water and wastewater sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic marketing and business development plans to drive growth in the WTP/STP/ETP segment.
• Identify, pursue, and secure projects from government, municipal, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, consultants, contractors, EPC companies, and government agencies.
• Liaise with Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB/Metro Water) and other state government departments for project opportunities.
• Establish and leverage strong contacts within Municipal Corporations, Local Bodies, Public Works Departments, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), Industrial Estates, and other government organizations.
• Lead the complete bidding cycle, including lead generation, pre-qualification, tender participation, technical-commercial discussions, negotiations, and order finalization.
• Coordinate with process, proposals, estimation, and project teams to prepare technical proposals and competitive bids.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming government projects to identify new business opportunities.
• Represent the organization at industry forums, exhibitions, and customer meetings.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Chemical/Environmental) is preferred. MBA in Marketing will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Marketing/Business Development within the WTP/STP/ETP/Water & Wastewater Treatment industry.
• Strong network and established relationships with:
• Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB/Metro Water / BWSSB/KWA/HMWSSB)
• Municipal Corporations and Urban Local Bodies
• Government departments and Public Sector Organizations
• Consultants, EPC contractors, and infrastructure developers
• Thorough understanding of government tendering procedures, procurement processes, and project execution in the water sector.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently drive business opportunities and achieve revenue targets.

Language Requirement

• Fluency in Tamil is mandatory.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills

Preferred Candidate

• Based in Chennai.
• Strong local market knowledge and an established network within Tamil Nadu's water and wastewater infrastructure ecosystem. (CMWSSB TWAD)
• Self-driven, result-oriented professional with excellent leadership and relationship management capabilities.
