Global Marketing Lead CNS
Responsibilities
- Define and continuously refine the marketing and sales strategy for the CNS portfolio, ensuring alignment with BU priorities, pipeline choices and product lifecycle plans
- Lead the BU marketing planning framework and raise the quality, consistency and strategic rigor of global and affiliate plans, assumptions, KPIs and resource choices
- Identify market and business opportunities using internal performance analysis, international market intelligence and competitive monitoring
- Provide senior commercial input to pipeline and asset evaluations, including target product profile, differentiation, evidence needs, market attractiveness, access considerations and launch sequencing
- Represent Global Marketing in BU leadership and cross-functional governance; provide direct, concise recommendations and reports to the BU Head.
- Personally own and maintain the global brand strategy and annual brand plan, including segmentation, targeting, positioning, value proposition, customer journey, communication priorities, lifecycle initiatives, action plan, budget and KPIs
- Translate strategy into execution by initiating and managing campaigns, promotional and educational materials, omnichannel activities, congresses, events and other brand projects in collaboration with Medical, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance.
- Provide practical guidance and tools to clusters and affiliates, review local brand plans and materials, and support appropriate local adaptation within global guardrails
- Partner management that ensures the execution of the aligned global strategy
- Initiate and steer market research, customer insight work, strategic market analyses, business cases and competitive assessments for both BU and assigned-brand decisions
- Develop and maintain sales-volume forecasts and scenarios by country and product with Finance, Supply, Commercial Planning and affiliates; document assumptions and risks
- Prepare, monitor and control the assigned brand budget and contribute to oversight of the wider CNS marketing budget within delegated authority
- Monitor actual sales, forecast evolution, market share, customer and activity KPIs, and budget utilization; explain deviations and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate quarterly, annual and ad hoc brand/portfolio reporting and ensure that conclusions lead to clear decisions and follow-up
- Lead new launch readiness and execution for assigned assets and brands, including stage-gate content, integrated launch plan, forecast, affiliate readiness, risk management, KPI tracking and post-launch review
- Drive lifecycle management and in-market optimization, including new indications, market entries, evidence-supported differentiation and appropriate tactical adjustments
- Assess customer-coverage, field-force and channel requirements with Commercial Excellence and affiliates, and recommend appropriate deployment, structure or capability changes
- Resolve complex strategic and execution issues affecting brand performance or promotion, escalating material risks and decisions through the appropriate governance forums
- Ensure effective cooperation across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, R&D, Regulatory, Business Development, Supply Chain, Controlling, Finance, Legal/Compliance, clusters and affiliates
- Guide, challenge and support global, cluster and local marketing/product managers; share best practices and contribute to coaching, training, tools and marketing standards
- Influence and align stakeholders without relying on formal authority; where direct reports are assigned, set objectives and evaluate performance in accordance with company processes
Requirements
- University degree (MSc or equivalent) in business, marketing, economics, pharmacy, medicine, life sciences or a related discipline; postgraduate business or marketing qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals or life sciences, including substantial international or regional brand/portfolio responsibility.
- Demonstrated hands-on Global/International Brand Manager experience, including direct ownership of brand strategy, annual planning, budgets, forecasts, campaigns, materials, agencies, affiliate support and performance tracking.
- Proven experience in strategic marketing, major launches, lifecycle management and complex cross-functional leadership; experience in CNS and/or innovative medicines is strongly preferred.
- Fluent professional English; additional languages, especially to be fluent in Russian are advantageous.
