The Section Head - Sports and Active Lifestyle (Regional Manager level) is responsible to build sports as a repeatable, revenue-enabling mall platform that drives foot traffic, tenant value, and brand differentiation. The role transitions sports initiatives - starting with SM Active Hub - from episodic marketing campaigns into a sustainable business program and partnership channel across SM Supermalls.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceptualize and own a sports platform strategy that consistently attracts foot traffic and strengthens mall relevance
  • Design and launch new sports concepts (leagues, clicks, showcases, community programs) aligned with mall target market
  • Lead business development and partnerships with sports federations, leagues, schools, brands, fitness communities, and sponsors
  • Structure revenue-generating and cost-sharing models to ensure financial sustainability
  • Drive cross-functional execution with Marketing, Leasing, Operations, and Mall Teams
  • Track, report, and optimize against agreed business and impact metrics


EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in sports marketing, partnerships, events, or business development
  • Strong network within the sports ecosystem in the country
  • Commercially minded, conceptually strong and execution-driven
  • Capable of building platforms, not just running events
  • With at least 8-12 years of related work experience
  • Graduate of any 4-year degree course
