About the Role
We are hiring a Business Development Engineer to expand our footprint across defense, aerospace, aviation, space, and high-tech industrial customers in Poland, with the potential to grow into the wider CEE region. Our portfolio covers power management & conversion, interconnect, sensors & navigation, electromechanics, embedded computing, and RF & Microwave products for demanding applications.
This is a technical sales role. You will identify and qualify opportunities, lead requirements discovery, position the right solutions from our portfolio, and drive design-wins through close collaboration with customers, our internal teams, and global manufacturing partners.
The role is based in Warsaw and requires regular customer visits across Poland and other European countries once needed.
Key Responsibilities
Market & Pipeline Development
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities with OEMs, system integrators, R&D teams, and procurement teams.
- Build and execute account plans: prospecting & mapping, engagement strategy, next steps, and quarterly objectives.
- Maintain a healthy, measurable pipeline from lead generation – qualified opportunity – RFQ/PO – design-win – repeat orders.
Technical Discussions & Solution Shaping
- Lead technical discussions to understand application context, project constraints, and acceptance criteria.
- Translate customer requirements into solution proposals by matching product capabilities, options, and appropriate alternatives when needed.
Sales Execution
- Support quotation and negotiation activities: pricing guidance, lead times, MOQs, NCNR terms, delivery expectations, and warranty conditions.
- Drive the commercial cadence of opportunities: RFQ management, timelines, follow-ups, and internal coordination.
- Maintain high-quality CRM discipline and forecasting (stages, probability, next actions, and close plans).
Compliance & Documentation Discipline
- Support document collection when needed (end-use statements, certificates, compliance documentation).
- Communicate constraints early (lead-time shifts, availability, compliance limitations) and propose mitigation plans proactively.
Representation & Relationship Building
- Plan and lead customer meetings, including joint visits with manufacturers and FAEs.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
- Build credibility through consistent follow-through, technical curiosity, and clear professional communication.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree (electronics, electrical, mechatronics, or similar) or equivalent relevant technical experience.
- 2–5 years in technical business development / sales engineering / application engineering / field engineering in a B2B environment.
- Proven ability to run a structured sales process: qualification, stakeholder mapping, close plans, and forecasting discipline.
- Strong ability to interpret technical documentation (datasheets, technical specs, standards language) and translate it into customer value.
- Fluent Polish (mandatory) and very strong written/verbal English.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (primarily Poland, with possible CEE travel).
Strongly Preferred – Nice to Have
- Experience with long-cycle “design-win” selling (multi-phase development, prototypes, qualification, ramp-up).
- Experience in electronic component distribution business.
