Position Summary
The Business Development Representative implements the hospital business development plan to exceed admission targets in the assigned geographic territory by focusing on developing and managing productive, long-term referral relationships with primary, existing and new referral sources.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Daily travel in a defined geographic area to meet with contacts with primary referral sources including hospitals, crisis centers, psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health and substance abuse professionals, other physicians, and other community resources.
- Focus on new lead generation, quality referral source development, as well as maintenance of current accounts.
- Support and emulate high customer service standards internally and externally.
- Consistently document evidence of contacts on a weekly basis

- Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field is preferred. High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in health care business development/marketing environment with measurable business development results, and a knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles, required.
- Experience with computer software programs and presentation skills preferred.
- CPR and HWC Crisis Intervention training must be completed prior to beginning work (Can be obtained upon hire).
