Operations & Business Development Coordinator
Indexed description
A rare hybrid B2B opportunity: Create new sales opportunities through proactive face-to-face prospecting, then help turn those wins into successful long-term commercial cleaning partnerships.
About Urban Clean WA
Urban Clean Western Australia is a fast-growing commercial cleaning franchise network built around a simple promise: outstanding cleaning, proactive communication and a frustration-free customer experience. From our Ascot headquarters, we support franchise business owners and hundreds of commercial clients across Western Australia using strong systems, practical training, technology and a no-compromise approach to quality.
We are now looking for an energetic and commercially minded coordinator to strengthen our operations team and help drive the next stage of our growth.
The opportunity
This is not a desk-only coordination role. Initially, approximately 60% of your time will focus on proactive B2B sales and 40% on operations. A key part of the role is walking into businesses without a pre-arranged appointment, confidently using Urban Clean's proven scripts to start conversations, qualify opportunities and gather the information needed to prepare a proposal.
You will also make qualifying and follow-up calls, attend prospect walkthroughs, maintain a disciplined pipeline and support won contracts through launch. On the operations side, you will complete audits, strengthen customer relationships and help franchisees deliver the Urban Clean standard. The balance may change as the role progresses and a strong sales pipeline is built.
Reporting to the State Operations Manager(s), you will become a trusted link between our prospects, clients, franchisees, sales activity and WA leadership team.
What you will do
• Walk into businesses in allocated commercial areas and confidently begin B2B prospecting conversations.
• Use Urban Clean's carefully developed scripts to identify decision-makers, qualify needs and secure accurate details for follow-up and proposals.
• Complete outbound qualifying and follow-up calls and progress opportunities consistently.
• Attend prospect walkthroughs and assist with scopes, proposals and sales follow-up.
• Build strong relationships with clients and franchisees and act early when an account needs attention.
• Visit commercial sites to complete inductions, audits and quality follow-ups.
• Coordinate service rectification and follow issues through until they are properly resolved.
• Coach franchisees in Urban Clean systems, reporting, communication and quality expectations.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and produce clear weekly activity and performance reporting.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through additional or expanded services.
• Support the seamless handover and launch of new contracts.
What will make you successful
• You have B2B sales, field sales, lead-generation, service operations or business-development experience.
• You are comfortable walking into businesses cold, introducing yourself professionally and starting conversations without an appointment.
• You can learn and use a structured sales script naturally, ask good qualifying questions and confidently complete follow-up calls.
• You are resilient, self-motivated and not discouraged when a prospect is busy or says no.
• You are a confident communicator who can build rapport with business owners, customers and prospects.
• You notice details, keep excellent records and do what you say you will do.
• You are comfortable with targets, CRM systems, spreadsheets and performance reports.
• You can balance empathy with accountability and have the confidence to address standards directly.
• You enjoy being out in the field as much as working with systems and data in the office.
• You hold a current driver's licence and have a reliable, registered and appropriately insured vehicle.
• You have a reliable smartphone and laptop suitable for our cloud-based systems and regular business use.
Experience in commercial cleaning, facilities services or franchising would be valuable, but the right attitude, commercial awareness and ability to learn are just as important.
What we offer
• A starting base salary of $70,000 per annum, plus a $5,000 annual allowance for the use of your own vehicle, mobile phone and laptop, with superannuation paid on top.
• An increase to a $75,000 base salary after three months when the agreed KPIs are met, plus the same $5,000 annual allowance and superannuation on top.
• Attractive bonuses for exceeding sales and audit KPIs: strong performance can reasonably generate around $10,000 per annum, with uncapped sales-related earning potential.
• The flexibility of cloud-based systems, with the employee supplying their own reliable vehicle, smartphone and laptop.
• Structured training in Urban Clean systems, commercial cleaning operations and sales processes.
• A supportive leadership team and genuine opportunity to grow into a senior operational or commercial role.
• The chance to make a visible impact in a successful WA business where strong performance is recognised.
