Position Summary
The Business Development Representative is an entry-level, activity-driven role responsible for generating new business opportunities through high-volume outbound cold calling. This position exists solely to identify, contact, and qualify prospective clients, and to schedule discovery meetings for CDR Global's sales team. The role has no account management, client ownership, or closing responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute a high volume of outbound cold calls daily to identified target contacts (IT managers, IT directors, procurement leaders) per assigned call lists.
- Qualify prospects using company-approved scripts, talk tracks, and qualification criteria.
- Schedule and confirm discovery meetings for senior sales representatives and account executives.
- Accurately and consistently log all call activity, contact outcomes, and prospect information in the CRM in real time.
- Maintain and update prospect records to ensure data integrity within the CRM.
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly KPIs for call volume, connect rate, and meetings booked, as set by the Sales Manager.
- Handle routine prospect questions and objections using company-provided guidance; escalate complex or non-standard inquiries to senior sales staff.
- Follow all company policies regarding outbound communication, including applicable telemarketing and do-not-call compliance requirements.
- Participate in required sales training, coaching sessions, and team meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

- No ongoing account management or client relationship ownership.
- No contract negotiation, pricing authority, or deal-closing responsibility.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior sales experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Clear, professional verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including ability to learn and use CRM software (GoHighLevel).
- Ability to work independently on repetitive, high-volume tasks while maintaining accuracy.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a call center, telemarketing, or customer service environment.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms
- Interest in a long-term sales career path.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Resilience and ability to maintain a positive attitude through frequent rejection.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for CRM data entry.
- Coachability and willingness to incorporate feedback into daily performance.
- Ability to follow scripts and structured processes consistently and accurately.
- Basic understanding of, or willingness to learn, ITAD industry terminology and CDR Global’s service offerings.
