Full-Time | Reports to: Director of Sales | Travel: 50% | Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000 plus commission

The Role

As a Sales Associate, your primary responsibility is building the foundation for new business growth. You will identify prospective clients, develop relationships with decision makers, qualify opportunities, and generate meetings that create new sales opportunities for Broadway National.

Working alongside Sales Executives, you will support the entire sales process - from initial outreach through proposal development, presentations, client onboarding, and account growth. This role is designed for ambitious professionals looking to build a career in enterprise sales through hands-on experience, coaching, and progressive responsibility.

Success in this role is measured by the quality of opportunities created, the strength of your pipeline, and your development into an independent Sales Executive.

What You'll Own

Business Development & Prospecting

  • Research and identify target accounts that align with Broadway's strategic growth initiatives.
  • Build and maintain prospect lists through market research, CRM tools, LinkedIn, industry databases, referrals, and networking.
  • Execute outbound prospecting campaigns through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other communication channels.
  • Generate qualified meetings for the sales team while building relationships with facilities, procurement, construction, and operations leaders.
  • Develop account profiles including organizational structure, locations, facility portfolio, and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain consistent prospecting activity to achieve weekly and monthly outreach objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends, company news, acquisitions, and expansion opportunities to identify new sales opportunities.

Opportunity Qualification

  • Conduct preliminary discovery conversations to understand organizational structure, facility programs, outsourcing strategies, and business priorities.
  • Evaluate opportunities using Broadway's qualification framework to determine strategic fit.
  • Gather information regarding service scope, geographic footprint, timing, incumbent providers, and decision-making process.
  • Document opportunity details within Salesforce to support sales strategy.
  • Coordinate introductory meetings between qualified prospects and Sales Executives.

Sales Support

  • Partner with Sales Executives throughout active pursuits by preparing account research, presentations, proposals, and supporting materials.
  • Participate in client discovery meetings, presentations, trade shows, networking events, and site visits to gain hands-on selling experience.
  • Assist with RFI and RFP responses by coordinating internal information and supporting proposal development.
  • Prepare sales reports, presentations, competitive analysis, and executive briefing documents.
  • Coordinate follow-up activities and maintain momentum throughout the sales process.

Pipeline Development & CRM

  • Maintain accurate prospect and account information within Salesforce.
  • Track outreach activity, meetings scheduled, opportunity progression, and pipeline development.
  • Support weekly pipeline reviews and opportunity planning sessions.
  • Maintain organized documentation of contacts, meeting notes, and next steps.

Professional Development

  • Complete Broadway's sales training curriculum covering facilities management, construction services, discovery methodology, qualification, and consultative selling.
  • Shadow Sales Executives throughout the complete sales cycle.
  • Build knowledge of facilities maintenance, capital projects, national rollouts, and integrated facility management programs.
  • Continuously develop presentation, communication, negotiation, and business development skills through coaching and mentorship.
  • Support marketing initiatives, trade shows, and industry events.

Qualifications

  • 0-3 years of business development, sales, or facility management operations.
  • Strong interest in developing a career in enterprise B2B sales.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable initiating conversations with prospective clients.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Curious, coachable, and eager to learn.
  • Competitive, self-motivated, and resilient.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office; Salesforce or CRM experience is a plus.
  • Willing to travel for client meetings, industry events, and training.
  • Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
