What You’ll Do
- Solicit prospective carriers to join our carrier network
- Develop long-term relationships with shippers and carriers
- Learn the trucking industry by growing under-performing client accounts, upselling opportunities and maximizing profitability
- Build and manage an existing carrier network to ensure we meet the needs of shipping customers
- Continually improve upon customer service skills, transit times and transportation costs
- Coordinate logistics activity, including scheduling arrival dates and delivery appointments
- Track and trace orders for each load in our system and complete all load-related paperwork
- Actively participate in transportation bids for current and prospective clients
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or related field preferred
- Demonstrated success in a proactive sales environment
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with analytical and technical skills
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to cross-sell services across all brands
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
