The Treasury Management Sales Officer is responsible for the sale of Treasury Management services by identifying new opportunities as well as expanding existing relationships by working directly with relationship managers and others in the bank to identify and develop new business
Responsibilities
- Engages prospective customers in order to develop new treasury management and non-credit business.
- Meets periodically with existing customers to ensure proper servicing of accounts and to expand existing business relationships.
- Prepares sales presentations, explains services offered, and recommends those services which would be of value to the customer.
- Ensures that other Bank employees are aware of the Bank's treasury management and non-credit business sales activities and that they assist in promoting the Bank's marketing effort in these areas.
- Works in conjunction with relationship managers to promote the bank's treasury management and non-credit business program.
- Assists in the design and proper installation of treasury management services.
- Prepares other business development reports that pertain to marketing and business development.
- Assumes additional duties and responsibilities as required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Degree in business or related field strongly preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a customer-facing banking (or related) role required. Previous experience in Treasury Management sales and/or support strongly preferred.
- Must have strong, demonstrated customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office suite of products, and the ability to learn and utilize custom banking systems and applications.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of customers, clients, and Bank personnel.
- Excellent analytical, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment
- Must be self-motivated team player with strong attention to detail, high level of accountability, and the ability to work independently.
- Must be able to travel locally up to 50% to meet with current and prospective clients as well as to meet with internal company contacts such as loan officers.
