TrendTex is a leading wholesale distributor of the best quilting and sewing products in Canada! We exclusively represent and distribute Moda, Hoffman California, RJR Fabrics, Benartex, Cotton + Steel, Michael Miller, Shannon, Lewis & Irene, Poppie Cotton and Stof fabrics. With our head office in Port Coquitlam and reps across the country, we truly have national representation.

The Role:

We are currently in search of an experienced Sales Representative for Atlantic Canada. As a Sales Rep, you will be responsible for building trusted relationships with your stores and travelling throughout the provinces to show the latest and greatest fabric as they are released. As you are someone with previous sales experience, you know how to set annual goals and plans to achieve them. This is a 100% commission based role within a well-established territory. You do not need to live in Halifax, but you do need to be located in Atlantic Canada.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Exclusively represent TrendTex throughout Atlantic Canada – Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and PEI
• Establish, develop and maintain positive customer relationships
• Book meetings with customers in a timely fashion during fabric releases (5 times a year)
• Work with the VP of Sales to set annual sales goals and plans for achieving those goals
• Review detailed supplier information to ensure comfortable level of knowledge with each fabric release
• Host shop events to showcase TrendTex fabrics and educate consumers (product training provided prior to hosting events)
• Attend various quilt shows around the territory
• Attend monthly sales calls to share ideas and best practices
• Attend annual sales conference in Vancouver
• Travel required – approximately 30,000kms per year

Experience and qualifications

• Minimum 5 years sales experience (sewing or quilting industry preferred but happy to train)
• Detail oriented
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
• Clean driving record
• Reliable vehicle
• Ability to travel throughout Atlantic Canada year round
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision
