We are seeking an organized, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our corporate team in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients reaching out to Trinity through our website and toll-free phone line. You will play a critical role in ensuring inbound leads are promptly qualified, routed to the appropriate internal team members, and accurately tracked through our CRM system. Additionally, you will engage in select outbound sales support activities following up on marketing qualified leads. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all inbound leads generated through Trinity’s website and toll-free phone number, ensuring every inquiry receives a prompt, professional, and welcoming response.
- Qualify inbound leads by gathering key information, including the nature of the inquiry, service needs, geographic location, and relevant regulatory or project details.
- Route qualified leads to the appropriate internal team member, business development manager, or regional office for follow-up, ensuring seamless handoffs and clear communication.
- Track all inbound leads and lead activity within Trinity’s CRM system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of contact information, lead status, follow-up actions, and outcomes.
- Monitor the progress of distributed leads to confirm timely follow-up by the assigned internal contact and flag any leads that require additional attention or escalation.
- Assist with the development and refinement of inbound lead intake processes, scripts, and workflows to improve efficiency and conversion rates.
- Support select outbound sales activities following up on marketing qualified leads.
- Communicate Trinity’s capabilities, service offerings, and value proposition to prospective clients at the initial inquiry stage.
- Support the Business Development team with administrative tasks related to lead management, reporting, and CRM data integrity.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Trinity’s core service areas, including environmental consulting, to effectively triage and direct inquiries.
- Generate regular reports on inbound lead volume, sources, routing, and conversion metrics for review by Business Development leadership.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with prospects, clients, and internal team members across phone, email, and web-based channels.
- Organization & Attention to Detail: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple inbound inquiries simultaneously while maintaining accurate records in the CRM system. Demonstrates meticulous follow-through on all lead tracking and routing activities.
- Customer Service Orientation: Genuine commitment to providing a positive first impression and excellent experience for every prospective client. Able to handle inquiries with professionalism, patience, and efficiency.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable working with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and web-based communication tools.
- Interpersonal & Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders across departments and geographic regions. Skilled at building relationships and facilitating smooth lead handoffs.
- Problem Solving: Ability to quickly assess incoming inquiries, ask the right qualifying questions, and make sound routing decisions based on established criteria.
- Accountability: Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership. Follows up proactively to ensure all leads are being managed appropriately and no opportunities fall through the cracks.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience in an inside sales, business development, customer service, or lead management role.
- Prior experience working with CRM systems and managing lead pipelines is strongly preferred.
- Experience in environmental consulting, professional services, or technical services environment is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of inbound inquiries with accuracy and professionalism.
- Familiarity with lead qualification techniques and sales support processes is beneficial.
