The Role
We are hiring a Technical Sales Associate to support our sales team from the office. You will be the first point of contact on inbound inquiries: understanding what a customer needs, translating it into an accurate quote for a configured chiller, and moving the resulting order cleanly into production. This is a technical, consultative sales role — you will work with specifications, capacities, and options every day — not a scripted retail or cold-calling position. It is an excellent entry point for someone with genuine technical aptitude who wants to build a career in industrial sales.
What You'll Do
- Respond to inbound leads — website inquiries, RFQs, and quote requests — qualifying each and following up promptly
- Prepare accurate, professional quotes for chillers and options, working from our pricing and specifications. (We will train you on our products and how our configurations work.)
- Enter accepted orders correctly and confirm the details so production and shipping execute right the first time
- Maintain the CRM — keep every lead, quote, and customer record current and complete so the team can rely on the system
- Support our senior sales team — follow up on open quotes, gather the information a deal needs, and prepare paperwork to keep opportunities moving
- Serve as a responsive point of contact for order status, lead times, and product questions
- Provide light marketing support — keep product sell sheets and spec sheets current and contribute occasional content, such as a customer case study, a social post, or website copy
- A ground-floor role on a growing sales team, with a clear path toward owning accounts
- Base salary plus commission — stability with real upside as the team succeeds
- Modern CRM and quoting tools, with hands-on training on our products
- A collaborative, on-site team in West Columbia, SC
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Technical aptitude — comfort with technical products, specifications, and numbers, and the ability to learn how our equipment works and discuss it credibly with customers. This is industrial equipment, not retail
- Excellent attention to detail; quotes and orders must be accurate
- Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new software quickly (CRM, quoting tools, Microsoft Office)
- A dependable, organized, and customer-focused work ethic
- Associates degree or higher in a business, technical or engineering field
- Preferred: an industrial, manufacturing, distribution, HVAC, or parts/counter-sales background, or a demonstrated ability to pick up technical products quickly. We will train the right candidate on chillers specifically
- Base salary $50,000-$60,000/year, based on experience, plus commission/bonus tied to sales the team closes
- Total on-target compensation roughly $60,000-$80,000/year for a solid performer once ramped
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid time off
- Paid holidays
- Monday-Friday, in person
