Sign Installation Technician

We are looking for an experienced Sign Installer to join our friendly, professional team at Signs Express (Southampton) to help with the installation of a wide variety of signage projects both internally and externally.

  • Location: Signs Express (Southampton), Unit 38, city industrial park, Southern Rd, Southampton SO15 1HA
  • Salary: Up to £30k depending on experience
  • Working Hours: Full-time position, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Travel & Qualifications: A full driving licence is essential, plus IPAF and PASMA qualifications are desirable

Duties Include

  • Carry out pre-installation assembly and production of signage.
  • Plan upcoming tasks in line with the weekly installation schedule.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Supporting the Production team where necessary.
  • Interpreting briefs accurately with a great understanding of different signage and installation techniques.
  • Following all company procedures and guidelines to ensure all signs are created/fitted safely and securely.
  • Ensuring Risk Assessments and Method Statements are understood and followed.
  • Taking responsibility for your own and others’ health and safety when working.
  • Always providing outstanding customer service to our clients and others.
  • Assisting in-house production staff when required.

What We Would Like From You

  • A positive can-do attitude.
  • Be well organised and be able to work alone, as well as part of our team.
  • Ability to problem solve on site.
  • High standard of workmanship to ensure minimum snagging.
  • Experience in the use of LED technology.
  • The ability to interpret briefs accurately.
  • IPAF/PASMA/CSCS accreditations (desirable but not essential).
  • Clean driving licence.
  • An understanding of the importance of health and safety.
