Location: Anaheim, CA / Hybrid
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Growth & Partnerships
About GMIC AIGMIC AI is an AI hardware co-development and OEM/ODM partner helping AI software companies bring their products into the physical world.
We work with Voice AI, AI scribe, AI agent, healthcare technology, field service, enterprise software, and other AI companies to develop purpose-built hardware, including wearable voice devices, smart badges, wireless microphones, audio capture devices, and embedded AI solutions.
Our capabilities include PCB/PCBA development, electronic modules, sensor and microphone integration, firmware, connectivity, power management, audio DSP, SDK/API integration, prototyping, testing, certification support, and mass-production support.
We are looking for an AI Partnerships Development Representative to help identify high-potential AI companies, start relevant conversations, and build a repeatable outbound partnership pipeline.
Role OverviewThis is not a traditional high-volume cold-calling SDR position.
You will research AI companies, understand their products and workflows, identify where dedicated hardware could create value, and develop personalized outreach to founders, CTOs, product leaders, and partnership teams.
You will work closely with the Growth & Partnerships lead to turn market research into qualified partnership conversations.
The ideal candidate is curious about AI products, comfortable learning technical concepts, and capable of writing thoughtful, personalized outbound messages.
Key ResponsibilitiesTarget Account Research- Build and maintain lists of target companies across Voice AI, AI agents, AI scribes, healthcare AI, field service technology, enterprise software, and related industries.
- Research each company’s product, customers, workflows, funding stage, team structure, and potential hardware use cases.
- Identify relevant decision-makers, including founders, CTOs, VPs of Product, Heads of Hardware, and partnership leaders.
- Prioritize accounts based on business fit, technical relevance, company maturity, and potential production volume.
- Develop personalized LinkedIn and email outreach based on each company’s product and use case.
- Execute structured multi-touch outbound campaigns through LinkedIn, email, and other appropriate channels.
- Write follow-up messages that add new information rather than repeatedly asking for a meeting.
- Test different outreach angles, verticals, value propositions, and calls to action.
- Re-engage past leads, inactive conversations, and previously contacted accounts.
- Conduct initial discovery and qualification before handing opportunities to the Growth & Partnerships lead.
- Understand the prospect’s current workflow, hardware requirements, timeline, pilot expectations, integration needs, and expected volume.
- Identify whether the prospect has a real product use case, technical need, internal sponsor, and potential path to pilot or production.
- Separate high-potential opportunities from early-stage research conversations and low-fit leads.
- Maintain accurate account, contact, activity, and opportunity records in HubSpot or Salesforce.
- Track outreach status, replies, meetings, follow-ups, NDA discussions, sample requests, quotations, pilots, and next steps.
- Ensure every active lead has a clear owner, stage, next action, and follow-up date.
- Provide weekly reporting on outreach performance, qualified conversations, meetings, and pipeline movement.
- Work with Growth, Product, and Engineering teams to understand GMIC’s capabilities and ideal customer profiles.
- Share recurring customer questions, objections, product requests, and market signals.
- Help refine messaging, outreach templates, vertical positioning, and target-account criteria.
- Support meeting preparation by creating concise prospect briefs and relevant use-case summaries.

- Strong research skills and the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar companies and products.
- Comfortable communicating with founders, technical executives, and product leaders.
- Basic understanding of concepts such as APIs, SDKs, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cloud integration, firmware, AI wearables, prototypes, pilots, and manufacturing.

- Familiarity with Voice AI, speech-to-text, AI agents, AI scribes, wearables, or embedded devices.
- Experience supporting partnership, OEM, ODM, white-label, or technical solution sales.
- Mandarin proficiency is helpful for collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams but is not required.
Success will be evaluated based on both activity and opportunity quality.
Key metrics may include:
- Number of qualified target accounts researched
- Number of relevant decision-makers identified
- Personalized outbound volume
- Positive response rate
- Qualified conversation rate
- Meetings booked
- Meeting attendance rate
- Percentage of meetings that match the ideal customer profile
- Number of opportunities progressing to NDA, sample request, technical evaluation, quotation, pilot, or POC
- CRM accuracy and follow-up completion rate
Meeting volume alone will not define success. The quality and commercial potential of the opportunities created will be equally important.
What Success Looks Like in the First 90 DaysFirst 30 Days- Learn GMIC’s products, engineering capabilities, target industries, and existing customer use cases.
- Become familiar with current outreach messaging, CRM stages, and qualification criteria.
- Build initial target-account lists and begin supervised outbound campaigns.

You may be a strong fit for this role if you enjoy understanding how products work, researching emerging AI companies, writing personalized messages, and identifying business opportunities before they become obvious.
You should be comfortable operating in an early-stage environment where processes are improving quickly and where thoughtful execution matters more than following a rigid sales script.
