Role Description The Business Development Representative is a full-time, on-site role based at Victory Subaru in Somerset, NJ. This position is responsible for handling inbound and outbound customer communications, including phone calls, emails, and online inquiries, to generate appointments and support the sales team. Daily activities include qualifying leads, maintaining accurate records in CRM systems, following up on internet and showroom leads, and coordinating with sales and service departments to improve customer engagement. The role also involves identifying new business opportunities, supporting marketing campaigns, and providing professional, timely responses that reinforce the dealership’s commitment to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Inside Sales and Lead Generation to effectively engage prospects and convert inquiries into appointments.
  • Candidates should possess strong Communication and Sales skills to build rapport, understand customer needs, and support successful vehicle purchases.
  • Candidates should possess Business Development skills to identify growth opportunities, nurture long-term relationships, and contribute to customer retention.
  • Experience with automotive retail or dealership environments, including CRM systems and appointment-setting, is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple leads and tasks in a fast-paced setting are preferred.
  • Comfort working on-site, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining a professional, customer-focused demeanor is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education or training in business, marketing, or sales is a plus.
