Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Sales & Service Engineer based in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The primary focus of this role is to drive sales growth and expand market presence by actively identifying new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, and promoting Sumitomo’s industrial power transmission solutions.

In addition to sales responsibilities, the role includes providing technical support, troubleshooting, and field service assistance to ensure optimal product performance and customer satisfaction. The candidate will engage closely with customers to understand their requirements, offer appropriate solutions, and support after-sales service activities. Strong coordination with internal teams and proactive customer engagement are key to ensuring successful project execution and long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales, business development, or technical sales; experience in service support is an added advantage
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage both sales targets and field service activities
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical background)
• Experience in industrial power transmission, rotating equipment, or related industries is highly preferred
• Willingness to travel for customer visits, site support, and business development activities
• Proficiency in English is required
