Salary
$90,000–$115,000 base salary, depending on experience, skills, market, and budget.
40% target annual incentive paid monthly, plus the opportunity to earn a Super Bonus for top performers.

Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to drive sales growth and expand market presence within an assigned territory. This role will focus on developing relationships with wholesale distributors, contractors, engineers, and specifiers while promoting innovative drainage, stormwater management, and water management solutions.
The ideal candidate will have experience selling construction products, building materials, or technical solutions through distribution channels. This is a field-based sales position requiring a strong understanding of territory management, relationship development, and consultative selling.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and acquire new customers within the assigned territory.
- Maintain and grow existing customer relationships while expanding product adoption.
- Manage territory sales goals, budgets, forecasts, and performance objectives.
- Spend approximately 80% of time conducting field sales calls with distributors, contractors, engineers, specifiers, and industry partners.
- Identify, manage, and close new business opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with key contractors, distributors, and industry professionals.
- Conduct product training, application seminars, and presentations for customers and industry organizations.
- Provide technical product support and solutions based on customer needs.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales activity reports, itineraries, and expense reports.
- Identify key contractors, specifiers, and growth opportunities within the assigned market.
- Support regional sales initiatives and business development strategies.
- Attend local and regional industry events to increase product awareness and market presence.
- Analyze sales reports, customer trends, and market conditions to drive territory growth.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of outside sales experience, preferably within construction products, building materials, wholesale distribution, or related industries.
- Experience selling through distributors, contractors, engineers, specifiers, municipalities, or similar channels preferred.
- Background in drainage, stormwater, pipe, underground utilities, civil infrastructure, landscape products, or related markets is highly preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand product applications and provide customer-focused solutions.
- Proven ability to manage a territory, develop relationships, and exceed sales objectives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong planning, organization, and time management abilities.
- Ability to analyze sales data and identify business opportunities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
