Responsibilities
Business Development Strategy & Opportunity Evaluation
- Evaluate licensing, partnership, collaboration, and corporate development opportunities aligned with Ocugen's strategic objectives.
- Conduct market, competitive, commercial, and strategic assessments to support executive decision-making.
- Develop business cases and recommendations for leadership.
- Develop financial models, valuation analyses, commercial forecasts, and transaction scenarios.
- Analyze deal economics, benchmark comparable transactions, and support negotiation strategy.
- Prepare executive presentations and decision-ready materials.
- Coordinate cross-functional due diligence activities from opportunity assessment through transaction execution.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and communication across Clinical, Regulatory, CMC, Commercial, Finance, Legal, and Executive Leadership.
- Support negotiation preparation and transaction documentation.
- Support transition of executed agreements into active partnerships.
- Coordinate Joint Steering Committees (JSCs), governance meetings, action items, and partnership communications.
- Monitor contractual obligations, milestones, and alliance performance.
- Maintain business development pipeline reporting, transaction documentation, and governance records.
- Develop and improve BD processes, templates, dashboards, and reporting.
- Support portfolio planning and strategic business reviews.
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, consulting, corporate development, alliance management, or business development.
- Experience supporting licensing transactions, strategic partnerships, or alliance management.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively across functions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
