We currently have an opening for a Regional Sales Manager for our Passive Plus Inc., located in Hauppauge, NY. This role serves as the primary commercial leader for the assigned territory, responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding customer relationships, and strengthening our presence across key markets. The ideal candidate is strategic, relationship-focused, and skilled at building pipelines and closing opportunities across both direct and channel sales models.
PPI is a fast growing & dynamic company. We have an excellent reputation in the industry. We specialize in Hi Q passive components, such as HI Q RF capacitors, and Broadband capacitors. We serve markets such as Defense, MRI, Industrial, AI data centers-telecom, Semiconductor, Instrumentation. We are looking for someone with 5-15 years sales experience in electronic components, and someone who is hungry and willing to learn. Competitive base salary, with significant bonus potential.
Job Summary
The Regional Sales Manager is accountable for the commercial performance of the territory, including revenue growth, opportunity development, account management, and channel support. This role executes sales strategies, manages manufacturer representatives, collaborates with distribution partners, and maintains strong engagement with customer stakeholders. Work is performed with a high level of independence and requires strong communication, planning, and business development capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Revenue Ownership
- Own all bookings, revenue generation, and commercial results within the assigned territory.
- Develop and implement territory growth strategies that align with corporate objectives.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities across target markets.
- Identify and pursue new program and business opportunities requiring company products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, engineering groups, and procurement teams.
- Support design-in opportunities, product qualification efforts, and long-term program development.
- Develop strategic account plans and monitor performance against goals.
- Engage both new and existing customers to expand the company’s footprint.
- Oversee the performance of manufacturer representatives in the territory.
- Provide guidance on target accounts, opportunity priorities, and product focus areas.
- Conduct regular business reviews to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Ensure representatives are trained and equipped with current product knowledge and sales messaging.
- Partner with internal teams to strengthen distributor relationships.
- Identify opportunities to increase distributor engagement and revenue contributions.
- Support distributor-driven design opportunities and program placements.
- Align distribution strategies for maximum market penetration.
- Maintain consistent communication with customer stakeholders to understand requirements and upcoming program needs.
- Identify emerging applications where company technologies provide value.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, program reviews, and industry events.
- Collaborate with customer service and internal teams to ensure efficient quoting, order management, and communication.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and territory pipeline visibility.
- Provide regular updates regarding opportunities, customer activity, and market conditions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in sales, account management, or business development.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Experience in electronics, manufacturing, or technical sales.
- Experience managing manufacturer reps and/or distribution partners.
- Strong understanding of sales processes and territory management.
- Ability to communicate technical value propositions to customers.
- Strong organizational, forecasting, and CRM proficiency.
- Effective collaboration and cross-functional teamwork skills.
- Ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
- Ability to work in office, home office, and customer environments.
- Ability to sit, stand, or travel for extended periods.
