About The Role

This specific position will be responsible for identify opportunities, engage with OEMs and other types of partners, negotiate to get distributorship and maintain the long-term relationship, as per the stakeholder’s priority to establish distributor agreements with Chinese OEMs within expansive China automotive landscape, encompassing parts and accessories, used cars, and commercial vehicles segments. The business development manager needs to add resources to chase after these opportunities by working closely with other ALJ departments.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Obtain new distributorship from Chinese OEMs, parts and accessories suppliers by working closely with relevant internal departments
• Play key account role in managing OEM relationships through out the lifecycle of OEM Management strategic projects of ALJ
• Conduct market research, documentation, and analysis to develop market intelligence and identify opportunities for ALJ
• Approach potential business partners to discuss corporation opportunities. Discuss and align with internal departments on objective, workplan, negotiation strategy
• Lead to compile business plans in the aim of wining new businesses from potential partners
• Negotiate with Chinese OEMs and other Chinese companies in automotive industry to obtain distributorship
• Maintain long term relationship with Chinese OEMs and obtain critical intelligence for ALJ
• Support the operation of the business with the OEMs being the go-to person for anything that’s related to the OEMs you are responsible
• Utilize data analytics tools to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities.
• Develop and maintain project plans, monitor progress, and ensure timely execution of key initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERINCE

• 6-8 years experience in automotive industry, preferable in BD functions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategiesFocused and goal-oriented
• Fluent commnucation in English and Chinese
• Strong data analytics and marketing research experience

• Strong interpersonal & communication skills – adept at relationship-building, with proven business development experience.
• Strong market research and data analytics experience
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and storytelling skills.
• Proficient in deck creation (PPT) and able to work under pressure.
• Management consulting background (a plus)Top-tier MBA (a plus)
