The Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Senior Sales Manager to join our thriving sales team. Position Summary
The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for generating group room nights, banquet revenue, and overall hotel profitability through proactive sales efforts, strategic solicitation, and exceptional client relationship management. This role requires a motivated self-starter who is comfortable managing a dynamic market segment while working in a fast-moving environment with strong accountability for revenue production and activity goals.
The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality sales, enjoys creating long-term partnerships, and is eager to grow within.
Key Responsibilities
- Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed monthly and annual revenue goals
- Generate group business through outside sales calls, prospecting, networking, site visits, and direct client engagement
- Maintain consistent sales activity levels including solicitation calls, appointments, prospecting efforts, and lead follow-up
- Develop strong relationships with clients, meeting planners, tour operators, and community partners
- Negotiate contracts and manage the sales process from inquiry through execution
- Conduct hotel tours and participate in trade shows, networking events, and community organizations
- Collaborate closely with revenue management, catering, and operations teams to ensure successful group execution
- Maintain accurate account and activity documentation within Hilton systems
- Identify market trends and opportunities to maximize hotel revenue and market share
- Represent the hotel and the Hilton brand with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Utilize hotel sales and operational systems including Delphi and Hilton PEP
- Prepare client proposals, contracts, presentations, and reporting using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Qualifications
- Previous hotel sales experience required
- Hilton experience preferred
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and solicitation goals
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Experience managing group business and client relationships preferred
- Proficiency with Delphi, Hilton PEP, and Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review pace, production, and sales performance reporting
- Experience preparing professional presentations, contracts, and client communications
- Passion for hospitality and team collaboration
Technical Skills
- Experience with hotel sales and property management systems, including Delphi and Hilton PEP, preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to manage client accounts, reporting, proposals, and presentations through various sales and operational platforms
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable learning and adapting to new technology systems in a fast-paced hospitality environment
