Business Development Manager
Indexed description
siffron is the renowned leader in the retail display and fixture industry. For a combined 100+ years, our innovative merchandising and shelf-management solutions have helped the world's largest retailers, brands and their trading partners Sell More — and, just as importantly, Lose Less through shrink reduction and on-shelf availability.
As we build our presence across Europe, we're looking for a UK-based Business Development Manager who is our European loss-prevention specialist and develops our full portfolio in the UK market.
The role
You'll be siffron's subject-matter expert for loss prevention across Europe — the go-to person who supports our sales teams in every market to win LP business and build credibility with customers. Alongside this, you'll develop your own UK market across our full portfolio — Shelf Fronting Solutions, Fresh, Shelf communication, and Loss Prevention.
What you'll do
● Act as siffron's loss-prevention subject-matter expert for Europe — supporting sales teams across all markets with LP insight, credibility and solution expertise
● Develop the UK market across siffron's full portfolio, opening new accounts and growing existing ones with grocery retailers and brands
● Draw on the wider European team's specialists (e.g. SFS) to sell the complete range in the UK
● Support and enable our UK distributors and channel partners — helping them win and grow business
● Act as the voice of the customer, competition and market — feeding insight back into product, pricing and programme decisions
● Build ROI/value cases that show retailers and brands the impact of our solutions
● Promote siffron's value proposition and build strong relationships with customers, partners and industry contacts
● Travel across the UK and Europe to visit customers, prospects and partners
● Keep pipeline and activity up to date in our CRM
What you'll bring
● Specific expertise in retail loss prevention — you know the LP landscape, the buyers and how to build credibility with the LP office
● Proven business development or sales experience selling to grocery retailers and/or brands, ideally in retail merchandising, store fixtures or related solutions
● Experience working with or through distributors and channel partners
● A consultative, value-led selling approach with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
● A collaborative, team-first mindset — comfortable both leading as a specialist and drawing on colleagues' expertise
● Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable working across cultures and countries
● Self-starting, organised and happy to travel
● Right to work in the UK; additional European languages a plus
Why siffron
You'll join a global leader at an exciting moment — helping shape our European growth from the ground up, with the backing of an established US business and a broad, proven product portfolio.
