Business Development Manager – Field Sales
Field-based | Competitive salary + uncapped commission + car mileage allowance
Foodhub For Business (FFB) is one of Australia and New Zealand’s fastest-growing hospitality technology providers. Our connected platform includes Point of Sale, Payments, Online Ordering, Self-Service Kiosks, Loyalty, Marketing, Websites, QR Ordering, Kitchen Display Systems, and more.
We’re looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager who loves being in the field, creating opportunities, and winning new business.
The Opportunity
This is a true hunter role, not an account management position or one that relies on inbound leads.
You’ll take ownership of an allocated territory, proactively target hospitality businesses that fit FFB’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and manage the complete sales cycle from first contact through to signed agreement.
You’ll use every available channel to build your pipeline, including cold walk-ins, cold calling, email, LinkedIn, networking, industry events, referrals and local partnerships.
You’ll spend the majority of your week in the field, building relationships, opening doors and becoming the recognised FFB representative within your territory.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Achieving and exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Identifying and signing hospitality businesses aligned with FFB’s ICP.
- Generating your own opportunities through consistent field and outbound prospecting.
- Building and maintaining a strong, qualified sales pipeline.
- Conducting discovery meetings and tailored product demonstrations.
- Managing the complete sales cycle from prospecting through to negotiation and close.
- Developing a structured territory plan and target-account list.
- Building local referral networks and strategic partnerships.
- Selling the commercial value of FFB’s current products and services.
- Maintaining accurate opportunity, activity and forecast data within the CRM.
- Sharing competitor activity, customer feedback and market insights with the wider business.
- Protecting FFB’s margins and commercial integrity when negotiating agreements.
What Success Looks Like
Your performance will be measured against clear commercial outcomes, including:
- New Monthly Recurring Revenue
- New ICP customers signed
- Qualified pipeline created
- Sales conversion and average deal value
- Customer meetings and demonstrations
- Territory coverage
- Prospecting activity
- CRM and forecast accuracy
About You
You’ll bring:
- Proven success in field-based B2B sales.
- A genuine hunter mentality and track record of winning new business.
- Confidence with cold calling, cold walk-ins and face-to-face prospecting.
- Experience managing a complete sales cycle.
- Strong negotiation, objection-handling and closing skills.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to sell value, not simply price.
- The resilience, energy and persistence needed to create your own opportunities.
- Strong territory, time and pipeline management.
- A current Australian driver’s licence.
Experience in hospitality technology, SaaS, Point of Sale, Payments or Fintech would be highly regarded, but a proven ability to hunt and close new business is what matters most.
Why Join FFB?
- Competitive base salary.
- Uncapped commission.
- Car mileage allowance.
- Laptop and mobile phone.
- Ongoing product and sales training.
- Clear career progression opportunities.
- Autonomy to own and grow your territory.
- A collaborative, high-performance culture.
At FFB, we solve business problems, we don’t simply sell software. We sell the value of what our platform delivers today and build trust through honesty, commercial expertise and execution.
If you enjoy being in the field, creating opportunities and closing new business, we’d love to hear from you.
