Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyse potential markets and key client sectors in Western Australia.
• Research and identify new business opportunities, projects, and partnerships.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and potential clients.
• Develop and execute strategic engagement plans to understand client needs.
• Manage a national sales pipeline from initial identification to closure.
• Develop competitive proposals, presentations, and tenders.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure new business opportunities.
• Monitor national market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
• Work closely with technical teams, marketing, and senior leadership to develop business strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of business development activities and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments to ensure alignment with the company's vision and goals, fostering a culture of teamwork and mutual support.
• Other duties as required.

Experience & Qualifications

• 5 years of experience working in Engineering or Construction
• Industry and technical knowledge
• Sales and strategic business development
• Relationship building and networking
• Commercial and financial acumen
• Interpersonal and negotiation skills
