Role: Infrastructure Area Sales Manager

Based: Home-based (Ireland), with regular travel to project sites, client offices, and Dublin metro corridor

About the Company

At Geobear, we're building something incredible. Established over forty years ago, Geobear is a fast-growing ground engineering company specialising in sustainable, non-invasive geopolymer injection solutions across multiple market sectors.

We work directly and indirectly with major infrastructure owners, general contractors, and geotechnical firms worldwide. Our advanced resin injection technology is faster, cleaner, and more sustainable than traditional ground engineering methods — and we've built a proven track record on some of Europe's largest tunnelling and metro projects.

We prioritise our values and provide a place where you can be yourself and thrive. Geobear offers opportunities for development, growth, and a remarkable career.

What Sets Geobear Apart

Sustainability: Our eco-friendly solutions significantly reduce carbon footprint versus traditional methods like concrete underpinning — directly aligned with Ireland's Climate Action legislation and MetroLink's sustainability commitments.

Speed: We deliver projects in hours or days, not weeks — critical on TBM sites where delays cost tens of thousands per day.

Proven in Tunnelling: Geobear has delivered 31 TBM-related projects across 4 major construction sites in Europe. Our applications include water sealing, compensation grouting, building re-levelling, void filling, and TBM plug-in/plug-out assists.

Innovation: Continuous R&D ensures our solutions stay at the cutting edge. We don't just react to problems — we help contractors prevent them.

Culture: We foster a growth mindset where every team member can develop their skills and advance. If you're hungry, curious, and results-driven, you'll thrive here.

Our Vision and Values

Purpose: We enhance people’s quality of lives by reducing stress and expedite decarbonisation of the planet.

Vision: To be the world leading provider of sustainable geotechnical asset management solutions.

Our Culture

If you are hungry for growth, enjoy targets and are open-minded about new ways of thinking and doing things, you will find it great working for Geobear. Our job is to solve problems for our clients, so the more proactive a problem solver you are, the better you will fit into our team of dedicated colleagues. We strive to keep our clients' world running with our proven technology which saves time, money and the impact on the world.

The Opportunity

Ireland is entering the most significant infrastructure investment cycle in its history. MetroLink — Dublin's first fully automated metro system — is an 18.8km, €7.9 billion programme comprising:

This is currently the infrastructure opportunity in Europe — and it follows a proven Geobear playbook.

Beyond MetroLink, this role unlocks the entire Irish infrastructure pipeline — roads, rail, utilities, and commercial — for the next decade.

About the Role

This is not a standard area sales role. This is a strategic, high-impact hire to establish Geobear as a preferred ground engineering sub-contractor on Ireland's largest-ever rail infrastructure programme — and to build a commercial/infrastructure pipeline across the Irish rail market.

You will be Geobear's dedicated boots on the ground for infrastructure in Ireland. You'll work at the intersection of technical problem-solving and commercial growth: identifying opportunities within the MetroLink programme and broader Irish infrastructure market, building relationships with general contractors and geotechnical firms, and positioning Geobear as the go-to partner for ground stabilisation, water sealing, and structural compensation during tunnelling operations.

You'll be backed by Geobear's in-house engineering team, a library of proven TBM case studies from Poland, and direct access to our European tunnelling experts — including the team that delivered the Warsaw Metro and Łódź tunnel projects.

You'll receive world-class sales and technical training through our specialist learning systems and in-person from Geobear's global team.

If you are a driven, technically-minded person who enjoys solving geotechnical problems, winning new business, and growing existing relationships and increasing your personal income then the role of an Area Manager at Geobear could be the perfect fit.

Requirements:

Essential:

• Growth mindset — curiosity, open mind, willingness to learn and improve.

• 5+ years of experience in the construction or infrastructure industry, with demonstrable exposure to sectors such as rail, tunnelling, highways, utilities, or heavy civil engineering.

• Proven B2B sales experience, ideally selling technical services or sub-contract packages to general contractors, geotechnical consultants, or infrastructure owners.

• Understanding of how major infrastructure projects are procured and delivered in Ireland .

• Ability to build relationships at multiple levels within contractor organisations — from site engineers to commercial directors.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience using CRM and account management tools (Salesforce preferred).

• Relevant qualification in construction, engineering, surveying, or related discipline (BSc, MSc, OND, HND, or equivalent).

• A full driving licence.

Based in Ireland with willingness to travel regularly.

Desirable:

• Experience working on or selling into TBM tunnelling, metro, or large-scale underground infrastructure projects.

• Knowledge of grouting, ground stabilisation, water management, void filling, or subsidence remediation.

• Existing relationships with Irish infrastructure contractors, geotechnical firms, or public-sector infrastructure clients.

• Experience with public procurement processes (PQQ, ITT, framework agreements).

• Personal financial growth motivation — this role has exceptional earning potential.

Duties:

Strategic & Market Development

• Lead Geobear's go-to-market strategy for MetroLink and the wider Irish infrastructure market.

• Map the MetroLink supply chain: identify and engage the main contractors (MCs), sub-contractors, and geotechnical firms bidding on M401 and M402 packages.

• Build relationships with consortia members and their supply chain partners before preferred supplier lists lock at contract award. • Monitor eTenders, OJEU, and industry channels for emerging infrastructure opportunities across rail, roads, and utilities.

• Develop and execute an account plan targeting the key general contractors and geotechnical firms operating in the Irish market.

Business Development & Sales

• Hunt and progress new opportunities across commercial and infrastructure segments.

• Deliver CPD presentations and technical introductions to prospective clients, demonstrating Geobear's TBM and ground engineering capabilities.

• Work with our engineering team to design tailored solutions — including preconditioning, compensation grouting, water sealing, void filling, and structural lifting.

• Prepare pricing and quotations in line with company policies and KPIs.

• Negotiate contract terms and close deals. • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to project handover.

Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project decision-makers.

• Become a trusted advisor on ground engineering challenges — positioning Geobear as a proactive partner, not just a reactive supplier.

• Manage planned and proactive follow-ups across all active opportunities and quotations. • Upsell and cross-sell Geobear's full range of solutions to existing clients.

Project Support & Collaboration

• Support operations and delivery by working closely with the Operations Director and Contracts Managers to maintain strong client relationships through project execution.

• Ensure project deadlines and budgets are communicated and met.

• Collaborate with internal teams across Ireland and Geobear's European operations — particularly the Poland team — to leverage case studies, technical expertise, and proven methodologies.

• Contribute to sales process development and share market intelligence with the wider business.

CRM & Reporting

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in company CRM systems.

• Report on pipeline, activity, and market intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
