The Opportunity:

ALIV is seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our growing team. Reporting directly to Director, Alan, this role is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing clients.

This position is ideally suited to someone with established experience within the building maintenance, facilities management, or Owners Corporation sectors. You will be confident engaging with decision-makers, presenting tailored solutions, and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships.

While our head office is based in Dandenong, this role offers flexibility and autonomy. The successful candidate will be expected to spend a significant amount of time on the road meeting clients, attending presentations, and building industry networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across commercial and government sectors.

• Develop and maintain relationships with Owners Corporations, strata managers, facility managers, and government representatives.

• Conduct client meetings, capability presentations, and project pitches.

• Prepare proposals, quotations, and tender submissions in collaboration with the internal team.

• Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation through to contract award.

• Attend networking events and industry functions to increase brand awareness and generate opportunities.

• Work closely with Director Alan to develop and execute growth strategies.

• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and opportunities within company systems.

• Identify emerging market trends and provide insights to support business development initiatives.

About You

• Proven experience in a Business Development Manager or similar role within the Government, building maintenance, facilities management, Owners Corporation, or related industries.

• Demonstrated success in winning new business and delivering revenue growth.

• Strong pitching and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.

• Existing industry relationships and networks will be highly regarded.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

• Commercially astute with a solutions-focused mindset.

• Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
