About WeRiseUp
WeRiseUp is a Barcelona-based Mixed Reality company that turns the world’s cultural treasures and theme parks into unforgettable immersive experiences. We were spun out of PortAventura World’s Adventure Labs in 2026 and are backed by PortAventura World and Vekoma — two of the most respected names in attractions globally.
Three live products at PortAventura — Hysteria in Boothill, El Diablo Neo and Expedición Ulum — have already moved 150,000+ guests, with an average rating of 8.1+. Our mandate is to take that same playbook to museums, monuments, archaeological sites, amphitheatres and parks on every continent. Storytellers, historians and game designers before a single line of code.
The Role
WeRiseUp is hiring a Sales & Marketing Manager to join our Barcelona HQ and help us bring immersive Mixed Reality experiences to museums, theme parks, and heritage sites across Europe and beyond. This is a mid-level, on-site role for someone energised by building relationships and driving commercial growth in a fast-moving, hands-on environment.
You will work directly under the guidance of our CEO and COO, leading day-to-day execution across sales and marketing while they shape strategy. The role is sales-leaning: most of your time will go into prospecting, qualifying, and developing new business with cultural institutions, theme parks and operators across European markets — with marketing activities (campaigns, content, partner enablement, events) feeding and supporting that commercial pipeline.
This is a great fit for someone three to five years into their career who wants real ownership early, close exposure to senior leadership, and a chance to grow with the company as we scale internationally.
What you’ll do
- Build and develop the sales pipeline — identify, qualify, and develop new business with attractions, museums, cultural institutions, and theme park operators across European markets, with Italy as a priority focus.
- Run outbound prospecting across email, LinkedIn, and phone to engage decision-makers at venues, operators, and partner organisations.
- Support deal cycles end-to-end — from first contact through discovery calls, demos, proposals, and contract signing — working closely with the directors on strategy and on larger opportunities.
- Localise sales and marketing materials for Italian, English, and Spanish-speaking markets, including pitch decks, case studies, one-pagers, and outbound templates.
- Represent WeRiseUp at industry events — trade shows, conferences, and partner gatherings across Europe — with travel during peak season.
- Own CRM hygiene and reporting — keep pipeline data, forecasts, and customer records accurate and surface insights to the leadership team.
- Coordinate with the on-site operations and creative teams so prospects experience flawless demos and closed deals transition smoothly into delivery.
What we’re looking for
- 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or marketing, ideally in a B2B environment.
- Great written and spoken communication — you can write a compelling pitch, lead a confident meeting, and represent WeRiseUp credibly to senior buyers and partners.
- A self-starter who thrives under directional guidance rather than detailed instructions, and is comfortable owning outcomes from day one.
- Commercially curious — you enjoy understanding customer needs, framing solutions, and getting deals over the line.
- Comfortable with CRM and modern sales/marketing tools (Attio, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email automation).
- Uses AI daily — comfortable using tools like ChatGPT and Claude to research accounts, draft outreach, and accelerate everyday work.
- Willing to travel across Europe for prospect meetings, trade shows, and venue visits.
- Fluent English is a must and other languages a strong plus
Operating Principles
- Obsessed with the guest experience. At the end of the day, a family is putting on a headset on a ride or heritage site. If they don't feel something, nothing else matters.
- Pragmatism over perfection. Done and deployed beats elegant and theoretical. We're building real experiences for real guests with real cycles to hit.
- Comfortable with ambiguity. We're inventing the playbook. If you need every process documented before you act, you'll be frustrated here.
- Outcomes over ownership. We care more about what gets shipped than whose name is on it. Good ideas can come from anywhere — and they often do.
Bonus Points
- Italian is a strong plus — we are prioritising the Italian market and want someone who can engage Italian operators and partners directly.
- Exposure to entertainment, attractions, cultural institutions, hospitality, or technology will be a bonus.
What we offer
- Outstanding opportunity to grow at a fast-moving, well-backed Mixed Reality company.
- Three live products and an active pipeline of projects.
- Competitive compensation, and the marketing and sales reach of PortAventura World and Vekoma behind you.
- Great office located in a top area in Barcelona.
