The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for all outside sales functions including, but not limited to, generating new sales opportunities by visiting prospective customers, visiting current and key accounts on a regular basis, and ensuring current customers are updated with current promotions and vendor literature.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.

- Represents Meyer and its interests with the highest regard for customer satisfaction in a professional manner.
- Travel within assigned territory for daily face-to-face interaction with prospects and customers.
- Responsible for growth and development of sales and market share within assigned territory.
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers.
- Enter/maintain daily visit notes for all sales visits.
- Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally.
- Identify customer buying patterns (top sellers) and implement plan to increase sales or offer alternatives as needed.
- Sell the company's products/services to customers through product knowledge, manufacturer literature, promotions, customer events, etc.
- Monitor the company's competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand specific customer needs.
- Responsible for company car, credit card, laptop, gas cards and any other company provided equipment.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree in business or related field preferred.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license with no recent moving or driving violations, remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.
- Previous automotive parts knowledge and sales experience preferred.
