About the Role
The Business Development Manager is the primary commercial representative for an assigned portfolio of brands within ESFA. The role is responsible for managing end-to-end e-commerce operations from a commercial perspective, coordinating cross-functional teams, driving business performance, and identifying growth opportunities for assigned brands.
Acting as the main point of contact for the customer, the Business Development Manager works closely with Operations, Finance, Logistics, Customer Experience and Technology teams to ensure flawless execution of the brand's commercial strategy while maximizing growth, operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end commercial management of an assigned brand portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned brands through regular communication and business meetings.
- Ensure the successful execution of campaigns, pricing updates, advertising activities and related operational actions.
- Analyze Marketplace, DTC and other sales channel performance to identify opportunities for revenue growth, profitability and operational efficiency.
- Monitor brand KPIs including Revenue, Profitability, Inventory Health, Order Fulfillment Rate, SLA, Cancellation & Return Rate, Delivery Performance and Customer Satisfaction, and develop action plans accordingly.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of all brand requirements.
- Manage inventory optimization together with internal stakeholders.
- Lead monthly commercial and inventory reconciliation processes with assigned brands.
- Present weekly and monthly business performance reviews.
- Identify process improvements and business development opportunities to increase customer satisfaction.
- Develop new sales channels, operational models and growth opportunities for existing brands.
- Coordinate Business Development and Operations teams supporting the assigned brand portfolio.
- Lead new client onboarding projects to ensure a smooth transition into ESFA operations.
- Ensure ESFA service standards and agreed SLAs are consistently achieved across assigned accounts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year university.
- Minimum 5–6 years of experience in e-commerce, marketplace operations, account management or similar commercial roles.
- Strong understanding of the Turkish e-commerce ecosystem and marketplace dynamics.
- Hands-on experience with Trendyol, Hepsiburada, Amazon and similar marketplaces.
- Knowledge of ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Strong understanding of commercial reconciliation and financial processes.
- Experience preparing and presenting business reviews to customers.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Professional proficiency in both Turkish and English.
- Strong planning, analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience is an advantage.
