Help HATCH build the partnerships that close the protein gap.

HATCH is seeking a mission-first Regional Partnership Manager who can build lasting relationships, expand our regional partner ecosystem, translate community needs into actionable demand, and help more families gain consistent access to quality protein.

ABOUT HATCH

HATCH is a nutrition-focused nonprofit working to build a sustainable solution to the hunger crisis in America by connecting animal protein directly from farmers and producers to hunger relief organizations through an efficient, sustainable, and value-based model. Our work sits at the intersection of nutrition security, agriculture, food access, logistics, public-private partnership, and measurable community impact. We are growing quickly and building the systems, partnerships, and operating discipline needed to scale protein access for families across the country.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Regional Partnership Manager owns a portfolio of food bank, food pantry, and additional community-serving relationships from initial outreach through long-term expansion. You will be the connective bridge between our partners, procurement team, operations, and leadership - helping communities secure consistent, budget-aligned access to eggs, meat, dairy, and other protein products.

This is not a traditional transactional sales role. It is a relationship-first growth role for someone who can open new partnerships, deepen existing ones, and see beyond an individual account to the broader ecosystem of organizations that can help reach vulnerable communities.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

  • Regional partnership growth, retention, and health
  • New food bank, pantry, and community partner acquisition
  • Regional ecosystem development and stakeholder mapping
  • Product, program, and relationship expansion
  • Demand planning and forecasting
  • Pricing and financial stewardship
  • CRM, pipeline, and partnership-data accuracy
  • Cross-functional coordination and partner issue resolution
  • Market intelligence and impact visibility

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Build Lasting Partnerships

  • Serve as the primary HATCH relationship owner for assigned food banks, food pantries, and other approved partners.
  • Understand each partner's community needs, demand, funding cycles, operating constraints, and opportunities for greater impact.
  • Maintain a consistent communication cadence and lead strategic partnership reviews.
  • Build trust and position HATCH as a strategic, mission-aligned partner - not simply a product vendor.
  • Surface partnership risks early and coordinate resolution across HATCH.

Expand the Regional Partner Ecosystem

  • Identify, foster, and cultivate relationships that can help deliver protein to vulnerable communities.
  • Look beyond the traditional food bank and pantry network to identify additional mission-aligned stakeholders and community-serving organizations.
  • Map the regional ecosystem, prioritize partnership opportunities, and build referral networks.
  • Prospect, qualify, and activate new partners through outreach, events, introductions, and community relationships.
  • Own the full partnership-development cycle from discovery through agreement, activation, repeat engagement, and expansion.

Grow Protein Access and Sustainable Revenue

  • Increase order frequency, volume, product mix, and program participation across assigned partners.
  • Build partnership-specific growth and impact plans with measurable quarterly priorities.
  • Connect partner needs with available inventory, programs, funding opportunities, and community initiatives.
  • Maintain pricing discipline while balancing partner affordability with HATCH's financial sustainability.
  • Track partnership value through protein volume, earned revenue, community reach, and relationship health.

Translate Demand into Action

  • Turn partner conversations, community needs, and historical activity into weekly and monthly demand forecasts.
  • Identify prospective food banks, food pantries, and additional key stakeholders; assign the appropriate partner track; and manage progress in the CRM.
  • Partner with procurement and operations on seasonal needs, new products, and special inventory opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline stages, partner health, and follow-up commitments.
  • Provide clear, timely partnership and performance updates to leadership.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Growth: The assigned portfolio achieves its approved growth plan across protein volume, earned revenue, and community reach.
  • New Partnerships: Annual acquisition and activation targets are met across food banks, pantries, and approved additional stakeholder tracks.
  • Expansion: Existing partners increase product mix, frequency, program participation, or strategic engagement.
  • Retention: More than 90% of viable existing partnerships are retained.
  • Forecasting: Monthly demand forecast accuracy reaches 80%.
  • CRM Discipline: Partnership records, next steps, pipeline stages, and forecasts remain current and accurate.
  • Financial Stewardship: Transactions consistently meet approved pricing and contribution thresholds.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Required Experience and Capabilities

  • 3+ years in partnerships, account management, business development, consultative sales, or a related relationship-driven role.
  • Demonstrated success growing a portfolio, activating new relationships, or delivering measurable revenue or impact outcomes.
  • Strong relationship-building, active listening, discovery, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience using a CRM such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or a similar platform.
  • Comfort with forecasting, pipeline management, performance data, and financial guardrails.
  • Clear, credible written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to influence and coordinate across teams without formal authority.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to partner sites, regional meetings, industry events, and HATCH's home office in Carmel, Indiana, a minimum of four times per year.
  • A self-directed, resilient approach in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.

Preferred or Bonus Experience

  • Food distribution, agriculture, hunger relief, public health, community development, or nonprofit experience.
  • Existing relationships within food banking, charitable food systems, or community-serving networks.
  • Experience building cross-sector, public-private, or community partnerships.
  • Knowledge of food supply-chain or cold-chain logistics.
  • Demand planning or sales forecasting experience.
  • Bilingual Spanish proficiency.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, public health, nonprofit management, or a related field - or equivalent relevant experience.

COMPENSATION, BENEFITS, AND WORK ARRANGEMENT

Base Salary: $85,000-$100,000, commensurate with experience.

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits, subject to plan eligibility and terms.

Location: Hybrid / Remote

Travel: Regional and national travel is required. The Regional Partnership Manager must also travel to HATCH's home office in Carmel, Indiana, a minimum of four times per year.

OUR HIRING APPROACH

HATCH values mission-first judgment, strong relationships, disciplined execution, thoughtful problem-solving, and genuine commitment to the communities we serve. We welcome candidates whose experience may come from business, food and agriculture, supply chain, community partnerships, nonprofit organizations, public health, or adjacent fields.
