About The Role
As a Sales & Development Manager, you will be a driving force in building the sales pipeline for Energy as a Service in Sweden where we offer electrification of heat for industries in metals & mining, food & beverage, chemicals and forest, as well as in district heating, where we manage some of the largest waste heat integration projects in the world with hyperscale datacenters. We believe in high customer centricity and our promise is that our customers can trust that our selected solutions are future-proofed.
In this role, you will contact potential customers and create strong and long-term partnerships with selected industrial and district heating companies. Our focus on growth is high, and we expect that your experience and customer relationships in the Swedish market will help us develop the best ways of working in a market that is new for us. You will also collaborate with other business areas within Fortum to strengthen our position and help customers reach their decarbonization targets.
Responsibilities in this role:
- Originate opportunities and identify leads in our target segments.
- Build and convert sales pipeline, negotiate and manage contracts with support from the project developers, and close the deals.
- Support our business development team to create commercial models and offerings that are fit for customer needs.
- Nurture relationships with potential clients and new customers, ensuring their satisfaction.
About You

You’re at your best when meeting the customers, creating momentum and turning opportunities into business. You will be a part of a new, growing team with an entrepreneurial spirit, building long-term energy partnerships with our customers with our Energy as a Service offering.
To succeed and thrive in this role, we see that you have:
- Experience in sales with a proven track record.
- A solid background in managing industrial clients or working with energy companies, combined with an understanding of the complexities involved, is a benefit.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Strong relationship management skills as you will be dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong influencing skills that foster collaboration and drive results.
- You are eager to grow, learn, and have a passion to help clients succeed jointly with us.
- Readiness to travel because our customers are located throughout Sweden.
- MSc or other relevant university degree.
- Native skills in Swedish and fluent skills in English.
