SALES MANAGER - EUROPE

The incumbent in this role should be capable of rapidly assimilating the business and defining a Sales and Marketing plan that supports the organization's strategic priorities. The Sales Manager will provide leadership, develop, and execute strategic revenue growth in Europe.

Specific responsibilities may include building sustainable growth model through structured go­ to-market strategy and sales processes, developing proposals, pitch materials, marketing campaigns, growing the sales pipeline, and maintaining communications with prospective clients. Ultimately, this position is responsible for meeting annual sales, margin and profitability targets established by the corporation.

About Us

We are an international premium brand for electrical connectors with headquarters in Canada and to further increase our competitiveness and quality, we have relocated our main production facility in Tunisia. As the central external voice and strategic partner for our team in Tunisia, we are looking for an experienced sales manager who will work remotely and in the field who will personally and professionally represent our presence in the European market.

Your Role

As a sales manager you are the face of our company. You maintain and deepen existing customer relationships through regular personal visits and develop new business potential through active acquisition. As the link between the European market and our inside sales team in Tunisia, you ensure smooth communication and excellent service.

Your Responsibilities

  • Field service & customer visits: You plan and conduct regular on-site appointments with existing and potential customers throughout Europe to maintain relationships, discuss projects, and be available as a competent contact person.
  • Customer care & transition: You will stabilize and intensify key customer relationships, build trust, and be the first point of contact for strategic issues.
  • Active new customer acquisition: You will systematically identify and develop new target companies, generate leads through personal contact (cold calls, networking, trade fair discussions), and develop these into lucrative customer relationships.
  • Strategic sales planning: You develop and execute a field sales and distribution strategy for your area, set sales targets, and ensure that they are achieved.
  • On-site technical consulting: You analyze customer requirements on site, conduct technical discussions with decision-makers, and Development departments and initiate tailor-made solutions (“design-in”).
  • Team bonding & management: You will work closely with the inside sales team in Tunisia, hand over and discuss leads, coordinate quotations, and ensure seamless support before and after customer appointments.
  • Market observation: You gather valuable information on competition, market trends, and technical requirements during customer meetings and trade fair visits and pass this on to management.
  • Representation: You represent our premium brand at trade fairs, industry events, and customer workshops.

Your Profile

  • Degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable technical field.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in technical field service or key account management with extensive customer visits, ideally in the electrical connector, industrial electronics, or automation technology industry.
  • An established network in Europe industry is a decisive advantage.
  • Extensive experience in active new customer acquisition (“hunter mentality”) and strategic customer care.
  • Convincing personality with excellent communication skills, negotiating skills, and a high level of customer orientation.
  • Independent, organized, and results-oriented way of working.
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 30-40 % of working hours spent in the field/visiting customers).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Language: Excellent English written and spoken, German would be an asset.
  • Confident user of MS Office and CRM systems.
