Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Indian Trail, NC. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, nurturing strategic partnerships, and expanding Zentra’s client portfolio across key eCommerce channels. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting discovery meetings, preparing and delivering proposals and presentations, and negotiating contracts. The Business Development Manager collaborates closely with marketing, operations, and account management teams to align solutions with client needs, track performance, and ensure a smooth handoff from sales to ongoing service. The role also involves market research, monitoring competitive activity, and contributing to the refinement of Zentra’s go-to-market strategy.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate has proven management experience and a passion for leading, coaching, and inspiring a team to achieve shared goals.
  • Demonstrated business development or sales experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong skills in lead generation, prospecting, pipeline management, and closing new business.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships, with effective negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Comfort with data analysis, market research, and using CRM tools to manage accounts and opportunities.
  • Knowledge of major online marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, Reverb) and general eCommerce practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Self-directed, organized, and able to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working on-site in a collaborative team environment; prior work in a growth-oriented company is a plus.
