What You'll Be Doing:
You'll divide your time between developing new business, strengthening existing customer relationships, and partnering with distributor organizations to grow market share throughout the Mountain West.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop new business opportunities throughout your assigned territory.
- Grow existing customer relationships through consultative selling and exceptional service.
- Build strong partnerships with distributor organizations to increase market penetration.
- Visit customer facilities to better understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Recommend technical solutions that improve equipment reliability and operational performance.
- Partner with distributor sales teams through product education and joint customer visits.
- Develop strategic territory plans, monitor performance, and identify new growth opportunities.
- Travel throughout the territory approximately 50% of the time.
Your experience in the following areas will help you succeed:
- Selling industrial or technical products into manufacturing environments.
- Calling on maintenance managers, plant managers, engineers, or reliability personnel.
- Developing new business while growing existing customer relationships.
- Working with distributors, manufacturers, or OEM partners.
- Managing a large geographic territory with a high degree of independence.
- Translating technical concepts into practical business solutions.
A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. Proven sales success, mechanical curiosity, and a willingness to learn are valued more than a specific degree or industry background.
Relevant Experience
We welcome candidates with experience selling technical products or solutions into manufacturing and industrial markets, including MRO, power transmission, fluid handling, industrial automation, specialty chemicals, equipment, or industrial distribution.
Experience with specialty lubricants or food manufacturing is helpful but not required.
