Territory Sales Manager
Indexed description
About the role
We are a fast-growing manufacturer of commercial mowing equipment expanding our presence in the United States. We’re looking for a Territory Sales Manager who already knows the turf & grounds industry — the people, the dealers, the turf — and can turn that network into revenue across golf courses, schools and campuses, sports fields, farms, and municipal accounts.
This is a hands-on, field-based role: you’ll own your territory end-to-end — from first cold call to demo day to closed deal — while working closely with our international headquarters. If you’ve sold commercial mowers, turf equipment, or grounds-maintenance machinery before and you’re ready to run a territory like it’s your own business, we want to talk.
Why this role: Real territory ownership, uncapped commission, a product line you can demo with confidence, and a direct line to decision-makers — no layers of red tape.
What you’ll do
- Own and grow a US territory — build and execute a territory plan that drives new business across golf, education, sports turf, agriculture, and municipal channels.
- Expand our dealer & partner network — recruit, onboard, and activate turf-management dealers and channel partners to extend reach and aftermarket support.
- Run live equipment demos — transport and operate mowers on-site at customer locations, independently delivering demonstrations that prove performance on real turf.
- Be the technical voice — provide product training, specs guidance, and after-sales support to dealers and end users; translate field feedback to HQ product teams.
- Represent us in the industry — attend national trade shows (GCSAA, STMA, PROGIESS, etc.) and regional events; run dealer open-house and demo days.
- Hit the number — manage pipeline in CRM, forecast accurately, and deliver against quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Bridge to HQ — collaborate effectively across time zones with our international headquarters, sharing market intelligence and customer needs to shape roadmap and go-to-market.
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of B2B field sales in commercial turf, grounds-maintenance, golf-course, agriculture, or outdoor power equipment — with a verifiable track record of hitting quota.
- Industry fluency: you know turf management, you know the equipment, and you know who buys it. Existing relationships with superintendents, grounds managers, dealers, or landscapers is a big plus.
- Hands-on equipment experience — you can safely operate, transport, and demo commercial mowing equipment independently.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in turf management, agronomy, horticulture, ag-business, or a related field.
- Valid US driver’s license + clean driving record; able to tow/transport equipment and travel up to 50% of the time across multiple cities/states.
- Strong communicator — crisp written and verbal English; comfortable presenting to superintendents, facility directors, and procurement teams.
- Remote-collaboration ready — proven experience working with a distant or international headquarters; self-driven, organized, and reliable across time zones.
