Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Proposals Manager is a core member of the Business Acquisition team and supports the Firm’s strategic business development efforts by developing and managing proposals to prospective and existing clients. Responsibilities include coordinating and supervising the projects of the United States region Coordinators, such as daily workflows and content management; preparing and coordinating responses for tenders, pitches, and responses to RFP; and collating the Firm’s relevant experience and working with other Firm departments as needed to collect information to be used in pitch materials.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Three to five years of pitch and proposal experience with a preference for law firm or professional services environment experience.
- Two years of supervisory experience.
- Experience leading pursuits, proposals, pitches, RFPs, and other direct business development efforts.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple complex projects while remaining client-service focused, detail oriented, and demonstrating superior judgment and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated professional communication skills.
- Experience with document management systems, PowerPoint slide deck building, and Microsoft Word.
Jones Day offers competitive salaries and benefits to all employees. Compensation is determined upon the market in which the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience and skills of the applicant, and other job-related factors. The starting salary range for this Cleveland position is $130,000 to $140,000.
