About the Role
The Regional Sales Manager is a field-facing role responsible for driving profitable, sustainable sales growth across an assigned regional territory. As the local frontline sales leader, you will develop end-user clients and distributor partners, promote our automated sustainable packaging solutions, and establish long-term win-win partnerships. This role covers full-cycle sales work including new customer development, account retention, channel expansion and post-sales customer support. You will serve as a trusted regional consultant, identify clients’ operational bottlenecks and packaging pain points, and provide customized solutions to boost operational efficiency, cut overall costs and help clients reach their sustainability targets.
(Candidates with less relevant experience will be considered for the Territory Manager or Account Manager role.)
Responsibilities
- Territory Growth & Sales Target Delivery
- Formulate and implement regional sales plans to develop new end-user customers and distributor partners, continuously lift sales volume and regional market share.
- Hit or surpass allocated revenue, gross margin and cash collection KPIs to deliver stable, healthy regional business performance.
- Prioritize high-value sales leads to maximize profit growth within the assigned region.
- Customer & Channel Partner Relationship Management
- Establish and sustain long-term trust-based partnerships with key accounts and distributors via regular communication, on-site client visits and proactive account support.
- Deepen collaboration with existing customers to tap upsell and cross-sell opportunities, increase share of wallet and lift customer retention rate.
- Take charge of distributor recruitment, onboarding training and continuous capability building to build a mature, high-performance regional partner ecosystem.
- Solution Consultation & End-to-End Customer Support
- Conduct on-site consulting to learn clients’ packaging workflows, production throughput demands and cost pressures, then recommend matched packaging equipment and consumable solutions.
- Oversee full order lifecycle management: order confirmation, shipment inspection and logistics tracking to guarantee on-time, error-free delivery.
- Respond to customer enquiries, follow up on product quality issues systematically, gather standardized customer feedback; coordinate cross-functional internal teams to resolve client issues and uphold premium service standards.
- Sales Pipeline & Market Intelligence Management
- Maintain complete, accurate sales pipeline records; submit weekly sales activity reports and updated project sales forecasts on schedule.
- Track local market dynamics, client demand shifts and competitor moves, and deliver practical market insights to support product optimization and regional sales strategy adjustment.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of B2B business development, account management or sales experience in the packaging, industrial manufacturing or logistics industry; prior protective packaging industry knowledge is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets, with experience developing both direct end-user accounts and channel/distributor partnerships.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build credibility and long-term relationships at all customer levels.
- Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented and results-driven, with strong execution and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Reliable, diligent and honest in work style; comfortable working independently in a field-based role with regular regional travel.
