Their exhibitions and conferences provide a practical way for executives, managers, experts and solution-providers to gather together to share knowledge and enhance their business potential.
About The Role
The company are seeking a talented and motivated Business Development Manager to join their team. The overall aim of this important role is to sell as many exhibition stands and sponsorship packages as possible for their B2B trade shows and conferences. The successful candidate will be an experienced, strong, tenacious sales professional (BDM) who knows how to find NEW business, build prospect databases and sales pipelines, use CRM and is not afraid of cold calling, going to meetings (F2F or via or Zoom), submitting written proposals and hard-closing.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and find prospects - lead generation.
- Have consultative/SPIN-based engagements with prospects.
- Create intelligent, needs-based proposals for prospects.
- Close and administer sponsors and exhibitors.
- With the Team/Project Director, create new sponsor and exhibitor opportunities.
- Develop strong sector/discipline knowledge and relationships.
- Contribute to the business plan and project management.
- Work with Conference Managers to create enable meaningful sponsor participation.
- Manage sponsors and exhibitors onsite.
- Collaborate with all colleagues.
- Post continually on social media, especially LinkedIn.
