Business Development Executive – Federal Healthcare Staffing

Location: Remote

We partner with military treatment facilities, federal agencies, and state organizations to deliver exceptional healthcare professionals nationwide. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to help drive strategic growth and expand our government healthcare portfolio.

Position Summary

The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the federal and state healthcare contracting sectors. This role supports all aspects of government contract acquisition and administration, including strategic planning, market research, customer relationship management, proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract management throughout the procurement lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has experience working in or with the U.S. Government, possesses strong business development skills, and understands the federal healthcare contracting environment. Existing government and industry relationships are highly desirable.

This position reports directly to the Managing Partner and requires a self-starter who thrives in an independent, results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and develop new federal and state healthcare contracting opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government contracting officers, agency representatives, teaming partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Attend networking events, conferences, and industry days to generate business opportunities.
  • Monitor government procurement portals and proposal-tracking systems for upcoming solicitations.
  • Lead proposal efforts, including strategy development, pricing coordination, and submission management.
  • Review cost proposals and maintain cost and pricing data.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned contractual matters throughout all phases of contract administration.
  • Ensure contract activities comply with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Stay current on industry trends and changes to contracting laws, regulations, and acquisition practices.
  • Establish annual business development goals and provide weekly progress updates to leadership.
  • Perform additional business development and contract-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience and training may be considered.
  • Minimum of two years of business development experience.
  • Experience with government contracting strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, capture management, or contract management.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general business software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with federal healthcare staffing or healthcare services contracts.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) contracting.
  • Experience supporting DHA MQS IDIQ task orders across physician, nursing, ancillary, and dental categories.
  • Texas state contracting experience preferred.
  • Prior military service is a plus.
  • Established government and industry contacts with the potential to generate new business opportunities.
