Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Support inbound sales calls, speaking with prospects and existing clients about quotes, policy changes, and binding support
  • Consult callers on voluntary products and services available to them and refer to other potential solutions
  • Maintain a positive attitude, even when dealing with difficult customers
  • Maintain quality customer service with clients daily by providing consistent, timely and accurate service
  • Assist in the execution of marketing material to available prospective clients
  • Increase industry and job knowledge as measured by attendance at continuing education, attaining or updating designations, and participation in other agency training offerings
  • Independently onboard and utilize an onboarding process for any new clients with unique scenarios
  • Participate and co-facilitate in prospect, client, and market visits
  • Accountable for ensuring follow-up on any delegated phone and email support for clients is responded to within 24 hours
  • Coordinate the creation and execution of service agreements
  • Use time management and organizational skills to ensure projects are completed on time and with appropriate content and organization
  • Develop insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales
  • Record all activities in CRM to support the sales process
  • Leverage technology to actively engage clients and prospects
  • Develop and qualify leads to drive additional sales opportunities through networking and other lead-generation opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; two or four-year degree preferred
  • One year of sales experience is required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic PowerPoint functions
  • P&C insurance license is preferred or obtained within 30 days of employment. L/H/A within 90 days of employment.
  • An in-depth knowledge of insurance brokerage business is strongly desired
  • We offer a competitive compensation structure, including a base salary in addition to commission/bonus potential.
