Position Summary
The District Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing a sales team to achieve district revenue, growth, and performance goals. This role oversees day-to-day field activities, supports team members through coaching and training, and ensures consistent execution of company sales strategies. The District Sales Manager builds strong customer relationships, identifies opportunities for market expansion, and serves as the primary link between the field sales team and corporate leadership.
Position Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed sales growth targets by driving increases in average order value, new agreement growth, and average monthly orders
- Recruit, interview, and on-board new field sales associates
- Provide field supervision, coaching, and development for both new and tenured sales associates
- Develop clear business and territory plans to support strategic growth
- Reinforce and support corporate policies and guidelines in a consistent, professional manner
- Build and maintain strong sales relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Assist in the development of future Sales Managers through structured training assignments
- Serve as a liaison between field sales and company headquarters
- Complete all required administrative tasks and documentation
- Promote and support company marketing initiatives and promotional programs
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Ability to travel up to 40%
- Prior B2B sales experience with strong record of performance
- Prior experience in territory and district management
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and develop high functioning sales teams
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities
