About Revby
Revby is a mission-driven economic development consulting firm that partners with public agencies, economic development organizations, and entrepreneurial support organizations to design and deliver programs that help small businesses stabilize, grow, and access capital.
Since launching, Revby has worked with communities across the U.S. to strengthen local small business ecosystems. As the company enters its next stage of growth, they are focused on building a proactive business development function to expand their reach and impact nationwide.
About the Role
Revby is hiring a Senior Sales Manager to lead new business development efforts focused on government agencies and economic development organizations.
This is not a traditional sales role. This person will play a key role in building pipeline from the ground up by identifying, engaging, and developing relationships with public sector stakeholders before formal opportunities exist. You will work directly with the founder to shape sales strategy, open doors, and position Revby as a trusted partner.
While RFP participation is part of the role, the primary focus is proactive pipeline generation, relationship building, and driving new revenue opportunities.
What You’ll Do
- Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities across government and economic development organizations
- Conduct proactive outreach to identify, engage, and develop relationships with public sector stakeholders
- Generate meetings and early-stage opportunities prior to formal procurement processes
- Support and contribute to RFP and proposal strategy, including positioning and messaging
- Navigate long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with government agencies and partners
- Represent Revby in meetings, conferences, and industry events
- Collaborate closely with leadership to refine sales strategy and go-to-market approach
- Track and manage opportunities to ensure consistent pipeline growth and visibility
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 90 days, you will:
- Build a strong pipeline of qualified public sector opportunities
- Establish relationships with approximately 10+ target agencies or organizations
- Generate meaningful engagement that can convert into future contracts or RFP participation
- Begin contributing to proposal strategy and business development planning
What We’re Looking For

- Experience in public sector sales, partnerships, or business development
- Proven ability to generate pipeline and develop new business opportunities
- Experience working with or selling into government agencies or public sector organizations
- Familiarity with RFPs, procurement processes, or government contracting environments
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and help build a function from the ground up
- Demonstrated track record of driving revenue or managing revenue-generating partnerships
Nice-to-Haves
- Direct experience in economic development, small business support, or entrepreneurial ecosystems
- Background in consulting, govtech, or organizations serving municipalities or public agencies
- Experience contributing to proposal or capture strategy
- Exposure to economic development departments, ESOs, or community development organizations
Who You Are
- A builder who is energized by creating pipeline and opening new doors
- A strategic thinker who can identify opportunities before they are formalized
- Comfortable balancing mission-driven work with revenue accountability
- Effective at navigating long, relationship-driven sales cycles
- Curious, adaptable, and comfortable working in an evolving environment
- Motivated to help grow a business and expand its impact
