About The Role

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, Visy Global Freight Forwarding is seeking a driven and ambitious Business Development Manager to join our high-performing team in Auckland. You will lead the growth of the Asia trade lane, drive new business and deliver revenue across a range of logistics solutions.

This is a high-activity, high-reward sales role for someone who thrives on the hunt and loves closing deals. As a hands-on individual contributor, you will be responsible for building pipeline, winning new opportunities, and expanding key accounts while working closely with global teams across both domestic and international markets.

What You Will Do

• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across Asia trade lanes
• Build and manage strategic customer relationships to drive revenue growth and account expansion
• Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, converting opportunities into revenue
• Collaborate with global and regional teams to deliver competitive, customer focused logistics solutions
• Monitor market trends and trade lane dynamics to identify risks and growth opportunities

What You'll Bring

A true business developer with a hunter mindset, comfortable building a pipeline from scratch and converting opportunities into revenue. You will bring a strategic mindset, global collaboration skills, and disciplined pipeline management to turn market insights into sustained growth. You will also bring:

• 5+ years' experience in global freight forwarding or international logistics in a business development or sales-based role.
• Experience developing, managing or selling freight solutions across East Asia Southbound trade lanes will be highly regarded.
• Proven success in winning new business across air freight, ocean freight, and integrated forwarding solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to build and execute strategic sales pipelines that drive sustainable revenue growth.
• An established network within the freight forwarding industry and a strong reputation for delivering results.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and close complex commercial opportunities.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify market opportunities, develop tailored solutions, and maximise profitability.
• Mandarin language skills would be advantageous.
