About the Role
Take charge of non-standard automation equipment’s existing customer retention and new client acquisition across the U.S. market. Drive the company’s U.S. market expansion strategy, implement full-cycle sales initiatives, and deliver regional revenue and business growth. Target customers include manufacturers, OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and industrial clients in sectors such as automotive, new energy, medical devices, consumer, or other advanced manufacturing industries.
Responsibilities
Business Development & Project Acquisition
- Proactively develop new clients in the US industrial automation market and maintain relationships with existing accounts.
- Identify and evaluate project opportunities, assess alignment between customer needs and company capabilities, and assist with preliminary client evaluation and basic cooperation documentation.
- Track potential projects end-to-end, conduct opportunity and competitive analysis, and coordinate internal resources for pre-sales preparation.
- Support solution introduction, basic cost estimation, quotation, and commercial negotiations to facilitate contract signing.
- Assist in payment follow-up and project handover after contract finalization.
Customer Relationship & Sales Execution
- Serve as the main point of contact for US customers, respond to inquiries in a timely manner, and promote repeat business.
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical discussions, solution presentations, and assist in proposal development.
- Arrange client meetings and project follow-ups, prepare meeting minutes and project status records.
- Take full ownership of the complete sales cycle—from opportunity identification, needs analysis, and solution design to contract signing—ensuring efficient conversion and achievement of annual sales targets and strategic account growth KPIs.
- Maintain customer and pipeline data in CRM to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
Market Intelligence & Internal Collaboration
- Collect US market trends, competitor information, and customer feedback, and provide regular internal reports.
- Collaborate with engineering, project, and product teams to ensure efficient project execution and solution improvement.
- Support the implementation of regional sales strategies and market expansion plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in technical sales, business development or customer-facing positions in the industrial automation & non-standard automation equipment sector.
Required Skills
- Basic technical understanding of automation equipment and applications; familiarity with custom automation lines or systems is preferred.
- Excellent business communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; able to independently develop and maintain client relationships.
- Experience with overseas customers or US market exposure is highly preferred.
- Fluent in written and spoken English (working language); Chinese language skills are a plus.
- Proficient in CRM systems and office software for sales management and reporting.
- Self-motivated, proactive, results-oriented, with strong execution and teamwork skills.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and execution capabilities.
- Willing to travel as needed for customer visits and market development.
