Join a global leader in industrial manufacturing and take ownership of a strategically important sales region, leading commercial growth across the island of Ireland while developing a high-performing team and shaping the future direction of the business.


Reporting directly to the UK Managing Director, you will lead the commercial strategy across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, with responsibility for sales performance, customer engagement and the development of an established regional sales team.


This is a leadership role with genuine influence, offering the opportunity to shape regional strategy, drive sustainable commercial growth and contribute to the continued success of a globally recognised engineering business. Working within a technically focused environment, you will partner with customers across the medical, aerospace, automotive, precision engineering and general manufacturing sectors, delivering value-led solutions that support long-term business growth.

Alongside leading the sales function, you will play a key role in an ongoing programme of commercial transformation, helping to enhance sales effectiveness, forecasting, CRM utilisation, tender management and customer experience, while supporting the governance and compliance of the Irish business.


The Opportunity

You will develop and execute the regional sales strategy, ensuring sustainable revenue growth, increased market share and profitability across Ireland. Leading an established team of six sales professionals, you will coach, mentor and develop individuals while fostering a collaborative, customer-focused and high-performance culture.


Working closely with colleagues across Marketing, Operations, Customer Service and Technical Support, you will ensure customers receive an outstanding experience while identifying new commercial opportunities and strengthening existing partnerships.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the regional sales strategy to achieve revenue, profitability and market share objectives.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of six sales professionals, driving engagement, performance and continuous improvement.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key customers, distributors and strategic partners through a consultative, value-based sales approach.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities while growing existing customer accounts across the region.
  • Manage sales pipelines, forecasting, KPIs and CRM data to maximise commercial opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee regional budgets, customer demonstrations, trials and commercial expenditure.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Customer Service and Technical teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Drive improvements across sales processes, forecasting, tender management, service delivery, CRM utilisation and commercial governance.
  • Support the governance of the Irish legal entity, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, local legislation and health & safety requirements.
  • Represent the business with customers, distributors, industry associations and key external stakeholders.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and operational excellence.


About You

You are an experienced commercial sales leader with a proven track record of developing people, building strategic customer relationships and delivering sustainable business growth within industrial or engineering markets.


Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5-7 years' successful B2B sales experience within industrial manufacturing, engineering or technical solutions.
  • Previous experience within metal cutting, machining, tooling, machine tools or manufacturing technology would be highly advantageous, although candidates from other industrial engineering sectors are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing environments, machining processes and solution-based selling.
  • 3-5 years' experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing sales forecasts, budgets, KPIs and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full fluency in English.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.


Desirable

  • Experience leading commercial transformation or sales excellence initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or Agile methodologies.
  • Additional European language skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Agile Project Management or similar professional qualifications.
