Driven by a rapidly growing project pipeline and sustained market demand, they are expanding their business development function to secure new commercial opportunities across Greater London and the home counties.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Business Development Manager will take full ownership of driving new business growth within the building safety remediation and refurbishment sectors. Operating autonomously across the M25, you will identify target clients, cultivate key industry relationships and secure profitable tendering opportunities.
This position is ideal for an established Business Development Manager or an experienced construction professional (such as a Quantity Surveyor, Project Manager or Employer’s Agent) possessing strong technical acumen and a network of industry contacts who is seeking a strategic commercial transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute target growth strategies across building safety remediation and complex refurbishment sectors.
- Identify, engage and build long-term working relationships with key decision-makers across housing associations, property developers and asset managers.
- Track forthcoming frameworks, tender opportunities and capital works programs within the M25 region.
- Collaborate closely with internal estimating and pre-construction teams to ensure seamless handover of opportunities.
- Position the business as a trusted contractor of choice for high-profile structural, fire safety and change of use projects.
- Represent the company at relevant industry events, networking forums and sector panels.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Core Sector Expertise: Proven track record within main contracting, building safety remediation, heavy refurbishment or structural schemes.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction processes, building safety standards, remediation workflows and regulatory frameworks.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong capability in strategic pipeline development, lead generation and winning tenders.
- Network & Relationship Management: Established contact network across London construction ecosystems, with the ability to build rapport with key decision-makers.
- Background: Open to established BDMs, former construction professionals or Employer's Agents seeking a transition into a dedicated commercial growth role.
